In our test, the type 2 charging cable wall mount<\/strong> from GFRAFT<\/strong> made a very good<\/strong> impression. The product is designed to neatly store charging cables for electric and hybrid vehicles even when not in use. This works<\/strong> perfectly with the wall bracket: the cable can be wound up on it and the plug inserted into it. It also protects<\/strong> the plug from contamination. The wall bracket from GRAFT offers an attractive<\/strong> design, good quality, a very fair price <\/strong>and is easy to install. There is also an integrated anti-theft <\/strong>device to protect the charging cable from opportunist thieves.<\/p>

In our case, the type 2 charging cable wall bracket from GRAFT arrived with other products in a matching shipping box<\/strong>. The box was undamaged and easy to open without any additional tools. Inside the box, the wall mount was packed in visually appealing cardboard product packaging<\/strong>. The product packaging was protected from slipping by paper filling material. The product protection<\/strong> was complete in this case and the awning holder was therefore in perfect condition.
The product packaging of the awning holder is fully recyclable. The filling material and the shipping carton are also fully recyclable.
Overall, the GRAFT wall bracket makes a very good impression<\/strong>.<\/p><\/div>

The product packaging contains the wall bracket and a paper bag. There is no further plastic packaging, which benefits sustainability. This would not have been necessary as the wall bracket itself is very sturdily constructed. The paper bag contains the mounting material, which consists of four plugs, four screws, a matching Torx spanner and two rubber protective pads. The paper bag prevents the screws from flying around inside the product packaging during despatch and scratching the wall bracket. The wall bracket and mounting accessories are adequately protected against dirt and scratches by the product packaging.
The instructions for use can be found on the side of the product packaging. As the use of the product is self-explanatory, the instructions for use only include installation instructions and a list of the contents. The assembly instructions illustrate the individual assembly steps. The labelling is limited to two words and is available in German and English. The first steps show how to fit the anti-theft device. It is not immediately obvious that this is the anti-theft device, which makes it difficult to follow the steps. A note would have been helpful here. Apart from that, the instructions are easy to understand.
Contact information is also provided on the product packaging. In addition to the company name and address, there is also an e-mail address. Unfortunately, there is no telephone number.<\/p><\/div>

The wall bracket is a socket suitable<\/strong> for type 2 plugs, which protrudes a short distance from the wall and thus offers space to wind the charging cable onto it. The socket is tilted slightly downwards, which means that the plug does not protrude as far from the wall. There is a latching lever<\/strong> on the top that locks into place when plugged in. On the back is a base plate with four holes for screwing into the wall. Its diameter is 115 mm.
The wall bracket is made of sturdy, black plastic<\/strong>. The material cannot be recognised as plastic from a distance and therefore looks elegant. The material thickness<\/strong> of the base plate with the mounting holes is 5 mm, that of the socket 2 mm. The finish<\/strong> of the wall bracket is good, the edges are clean and even. The locking lever<\/strong> is also made of black plastic. It is mounted on a metal shaft and is pretensioned by a metal spring.
The anti-theft<\/strong> device is integrated into the base plate. It consists of two recesses located on the top and bottom of the plate. Before the wall bracket is mounted on the wall, the charging cable can be laid through these recesses. In this way, the cable is firmly screwed to the wall together with the wall bracket and cannot simply be removed. To protect the cable from the edges of the wall bracket, two matching rubber protective pads are supplied. These are placed between the cable and the wall bracket and also secure the cable in the anti-theft device against slipping.
Overall, the type 2 charging cable wall bracket from GRAFT makes a very robust<\/strong> impression. All components are well made<\/strong> and very stable. The black design has a classy look, but on closer inspection you realise that it is made of plastic. In addition, the black colour blends in everywhere without standing out, no matter where the wall mount is installed.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\u2139\ufe0f Our practical test is the most relevant and therefore the most important. Here, the product has to undergo a wide range of criteria and tests. We check the functions and product promises of the test article. <\/p>

A flat surface is required for mounting<\/strong>. The wall bracket is fixed to this with four screws. Suitable screws and wall plugs are supplied for mounting on walls. However, the wall bracket can also be mounted on other surfaces, such as wood, using its own screws. Use of the anti-theft device is optional<\/strong>; the cable does not necessarily have to be pulled through the cut-outs. The cut-outs are the right size for standard cable diameters with type 2 plugs.
Now the charging cable can be neatly tidied away after charging the vehicle. The cable is wrapped around the wall bracket and the plug is inserted into the socket. The plug slides precisely<\/strong> into the socket and snaps into place as if it were in the vehicle. The locking lever must be pressed to pull it out. This also works perfectly. The plug is also well protected against dust and dirt in the socket. The slightly downward-facing socket also prevents water from collecting in the socket if it gets wet.
The anti-theft device<\/strong> holds the cable firmly to the wall. In particular, charging cables that have a plug not only on the vehicle side but also on the mains side can no longer simply be taken away. The charging cable is therefore securely protected<\/strong> from opportunist thieves. However, if a thief is armed with a suitable screwdriver, he can simply unscrew the wall bracket and steal the cable. To make it less easy, the screws supplied are security Torx. The anti-theft device is therefore a useful additional function<\/strong>.<\/p><\/div>

On the Amazon<\/strong> platform, consumers have given the product an average rating of 4.5 stars<\/strong>. Criticism is often levelled at the fact that the locking rake breaks off or the plug gets jammed in the socket. We were unable to <\/strong>confirm either of these in our practical test. Many customers like the fact that the wall mount is easy to install and that the charging cable can be tidied up very quickly with the wall mount. We were able to confirm<\/strong> this in our practical test. <\/p>

Prices of up to \u20ac55<\/strong> are charged on the internet for equivalent products. Very inexpensive products are available for as little as \u20ac9.50<\/strong>. The awning holder from GRAFT<\/strong> is therefore currently in the lower price segment<\/strong> with a price of \u20ac16.24<\/strong>. The price ratio is very good<\/strong> for the quality and scope of services you get. <\/p>
