In our test, the Perseus crimping pl<\/strong> iers including wire end ferrule assortment<\/strong> from Baurix<\/strong> made a very good<\/strong> impression overall. The set consists of the crimping pl<\/strong>iers, a sorting case<\/strong> and an assortment<\/strong> of eight different sizes of wire end ferrules<\/strong>. All parts are packaged to a<\/strong> very high standard<\/strong>, although some elements of the packaging could have been dispensed with. The set was fully convincing<\/strong> in the practical test. The high-quality pliers<\/strong> can be used to crimp wire end ferrules very quickly and easily. The wire end ferrules<\/strong> hold well on the cable ends and are very stable<\/strong>.<\/p>

The Perseus crimping pliers<\/strong> with wire end ferrule range<\/strong> from Baurix<\/strong> arrived together with other products in a single shipping box. The shipping box<\/strong> was compact and the individual products had no room to slide around. The shipping box contained the product packaging made of white cardboard. The product packaging<\/strong> was undamaged and in perfect condition. The shipping carton could be opened easily without tools. The product carton was sealed with a fixed sticker<\/strong>, so a knife is recommended to open it.
The product box contains a sorting case<\/strong> with the range of wire end ferrules, another box with the crimping pliers<\/strong>, instructions for use<\/strong>, a discount voucher for the next order and a flyer with Internet addresses for warranty registration and an introductory video. The product box also contains an insert to prevent the box containing the pliers from sliding around. Like the product packaging, the box with the pliers is also sealed with a fixed sticker. In addition, this box was slightly torn on the side, but this had no effect on the pliers or other components of the set. The sorting case<\/strong> is also shrink-wrapped in a transparent plastic film. Overall, the components of the set are excellently<\/strong> protected<\/strong> from damage during transportation by the very extensive packaging. Unfortunately, this results in a lot of waste, which is why we believe that the plastic film around the sorting case and the additional packaging for the pliers could have been dispensed<\/strong> with.<\/p><\/div>

The ferrules are arranged sensibly in the sorting case. A random check of the number of individual types of ferrules shows that they are complete<\/strong>. The pliers and the many different sizes of ferrules provide the customer with a comprehensive set<\/strong>.
The instructions for use <\/strong>are written in several languages, including German and English. They are clearly<\/strong> written and explain how to use the pliers and ferrules.

The sorting case<\/strong> is made of transparent plastic<\/strong>. The upper part<\/strong> functions as a lid and has a label <\/strong>printed on both sides. On the outside, there is a list of the contents<\/strong> in addition to the key data and contact details. On the inside there is an assignment of the individual sizes to the respective compartment in the lower part of the box. There are also two simple buckles on the lid, which can be used to open and close <\/strong>the lid.
The lower part<\/strong> of the box is divided into eight individual compartments<\/strong> in which the ferrules are sorted<\/strong>. Overall, the sorting case is sufficiently sturdy, well made andvery practical<\/strong>.
The wire end ferrules consist of a metal part<\/strong> at the front and have a colored plastic shield <\/strong>behind them. The plastic surface is matt and the metal is shiny. The ferrules are stable<\/strong> and can hardly be deformed by hand. The workmanship is good.
The design of the ferrules is the same for all sizes. They are available in three different lengths<\/strong>. The cable end sleeves for cable cross-sections between 0.5 mm\u00b2 and 2.5 mm\u00b2 are 8 mm long, those for 4 mm\u00b2 cable cross-sections are 10 mm long and those for 6 mm\u00b2 and 10 mm\u00b2 cable cross-sections are 12 mm long. Each type of wire end ferrule is assigned<\/strong> one of the four different colors<\/strong>. They can therefore be distinguished at first glance.
The crimping pliers<\/strong> are made of black metal <\/strong>and have a red-orange plastic handle<\/strong> to make crimping easier. The pliers consist of four parts<\/strong> which are connected by joints. The individual parts have a noticeable amount of play<\/strong> between them, but this does not affect the functionality of the pliers. The receptacles<\/strong> for the wire end ferrules are in the middle of the pliers head and can be recognized directly. The pliers also have a latching mechanism<\/strong> which ensures that the wire end ferrule is sufficiently pressed. There is also an associated emergency release<\/strong>. The crimping force can be adjusted<\/strong> using an adjustment mechanism<\/strong>, which can also be operated without additional tools. Overall, the pliers make a high-quality and robust impression.<\/p>

In our practical test<\/strong>, we use different cable cross-sections to test the various wire end ferrules. To crimp on the ferrules, the cable<\/strong> in question must first be stripped <\/strong>to such an extent that the exposed wires reach almost all the way through the metal part of the ferrules. However, the wires must not protrude beyond this. The wire end ferrule <\/strong>can then be fitted. To do this, it is pushed onto the cable with the colored plastic shielding first. It helps that the diameter of the shielding is larger than that of the metal part and that the area in between is beveled. This makes it easy<\/strong> to insert the wires. Next, the wire end ferrule with cable can be placed in the corresponding receptacle of the pliers <\/strong>. The receptacle of the pliers is symmetrical<\/strong>, so the wire end ferrule can be inserted from both sides. The wire end ferrule is pushed in so far that the metal part is inside the holder, but the shielding is not.
Only a little force <\/strong>is required for crimping. The pliers make a stable impression here. The pliers continue to engage<\/strong> as they are pressed shut, so that the pliers can also be released again during the pressing process, for example to re-grip. However, this was not necessary in our test. The emergency release <\/strong>of the latching function also works perfectly. Once the wire end ferrule has been crimped, the pliers can be opened again without the emergency release. There are no differences<\/strong> between the different cable cross-sections when crimping.
The result is also impressive<\/strong>. The wire end ferrules are firmly <\/strong> connected<\/strong> to the cables and can no longer be pulled off. The plastic sleeve covers the transition between the metal ring and the cable insulation, giving it a high-quality appearance. The wire end ferrules are stable<\/strong> and cannot be bent. The set was therefore fully convincing<\/strong> in the practical test.<\/p><\/div>

We were unable to confirm this in our practical test. Many customers like the quality of the overall package, which we can fully understand.<\/p>

Prices of up to \u20ac37<\/strong> are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very inexpensive products are available from<\/strong> as little as \u20ac19<\/strong>. The Perseus crimping pliers with wire end ferrule assortment <\/strong>from Baurix <\/strong>is currently in the lower price segment<\/strong> with a price of \u20ac22.91<\/strong>. The price ratio is very good<\/strong> for the quality and scope of services you get. <\/p>
