The fermentation weights<\/strong> from GreenWise <\/strong>were supplied in two outer packages for our test. The product was in an Amazon box<\/strong> on the outside and a small box <\/strong>with the company logo and product name on the inside. Both boxes<\/strong> were undamaged <\/strong>and could be opened easily<\/strong> without additional tools. The fermentation weights were packed in foam <\/strong>, which is unfortunately not environmentally friendly packaging<\/strong>, but provides sufficient protection <\/strong>for the weights. The product was undamaged <\/strong>and in perfect condition<\/strong>. However, no instructions for use were included in the package.<\/p><\/div>

In our practical test, the fermentation weights<\/strong> from GreenWise <\/strong>impressed with their properties. The fit of the weights was checked and it was determined that they are suitable<\/strong> for wide-mouth mason jars<\/strong> and other jars with a diameter of 7 cm<\/strong>. This was confirmed by measurements and practical tests, during which the weights fitted securely and firmly without slipping<\/strong>. The hygiene of the fermentation weights proved to be excellent, as they are made of food-safe glass<\/strong> and have a particularly smooth<\/strong> surface <\/strong>to prevent mold growth<\/strong>. After several fermentation runs, we found that the weights were easy to clean<\/strong> and showed no signs of mold. The odorlessness <\/strong>of the jars was also rated positively, as the jar is sealed odor-tight <\/strong>using the weights. The handling <\/strong>of the fermentation weights proved to be simple and also suitable for beginners; even without instructions <\/strong>, they were quick and easy to use. The cleaning properties <\/strong>of the jars were also tested and it was found that they are dishwasher-safe <\/strong>. After several washes in the dishwasher, the jars showed no <\/strong>impairment or changes <\/strong>in their performance.<\/p><\/div>
