The Test Procedure

Prüfengel evaluates products using a structured, practical test procedure that provides consumers with guidance for their purchasing decisions. Our tests are based on the individual experiences of real consumers and reflect their personal impressions and opinions. We work with manufacturers and service providers to test a wide range of products. The tests are carried out on behalf of the manufacturers and enable us to provide the results free of charge. Products that achieve an overall score of at least 80 out of 100 points are awarded the Prüfengel seal. The exact test catalogue can be viewed here .

Valuation key

The Prüfengel evaluation key clearly shows you how a product performed in our test. We award up to 100 points in various categories. To receive the Prüfengel seal, a product must achieve at least 80 points in the overall result. The overall score is calculated from the average of all evaluated features, taking their weighting into account. Products that receive less than 80 points are deemed to have ‘failed’ and are not published. The evaluation system is transparent and provides a reliable basis for your purchase decision.
