Thanks to its high suction and pressure power, the pipe cleaning pump removes even the most stubborn blockages without the use of chemicals, regardless of whether they are in the toilet, sink, shower or bath. The pipe cleaning pump from Werkstein arrived for our test in the typical shipping box. This was undamaged on arrival and could be opened without any tools.
The product packaging contained the pump with adjustable handle, two rubber adapters and the instructions for use. The packaging method optimally protects the product from external influences. As a result, product protection was fully guaranteed and the pipe cleaning pump was delivered in perfect condition. The packaging is also recyclable. In this respect, the product leaves a very good first impression. Neither the drain cleaner nor the packaging used was damaged.

The pipe cleaning pump and the adjustable handle are made of high-quality ABS plastic. The handle can be easily loosened and adjusted to the right position without additional tools using a turning screw. The two adapters are made of rubber with a diameter of 9.5 cm each. They are 4.5 cm and 19 cm high respectively. There are pictograms on the pump itself that briefly show the correct handling. The materials used make a stable impression. We therefore expect a long service life.

We enjoyed working with the pipe cleaning pump from Werkstein during the test. Attaching the rubber adapter is very tight, but if you put some washing-up liquid on the rubber adapter, you can pull it on relatively easily.
Placing it on the various drains is unusual and requires some practice. If you have previously worked with a simple rubber plunger, it takes some getting used to using the drain cleaner from Werkstein due to the size and bend of the pump. During the practical test, the suction and pressure mechanism worked without any further problems. There are two methods of clearing a blockage with the drain cleaning pump. The best known method is to place the adapter flush against the drain and pull the extendable handle upwards with a jerk. Another method is to fill the pump with water, place it flush on the drain and press the cylinder down with pressure. However, you must be careful to seal the drain well with the rubber adapter, otherwise it may splash.
Thanks to the high-quality material and simple packaging, it is also sustainable and saves resources.

On the Amazon platform, consumers have given the product an average rating of 4.4 stars. The pipe cleaning pump is often criticized for being very expensive and not being a perfect fit for all drains. Many customers like the fact that the product works very well. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the drain cleaning pump works well and that sealing the drain was sometimes really difficult to achieve.
