The maxVitalis neck support pillow is supplied in a sturdy cardboard box. To protect it from moisture and to make the packaging as small as possible, the pillow is compressed and held together by a film. This avoids unnecessary packaging waste and the shipping box is much more compact than you would expect. The only disadvantage is that the cushion has to unfold first and, according to the manufacturer, takes 24-48 hours to reach its full size. However, as the supplied aloe vera pillowcase should be washed before use anyway, the waiting time is quite manageable.
The washing instructions are not only sewn into the pillowcase but also in the enclosed instructions for use, which are written in German, English and six other languages.

The cushion makes a solid and robust impression. The surfaces are soft and feel pleasant against the skin.

In practical tests, the neck support pillow from maxVitalis shows many strengths. The pillow core made of 100% visco-mineral foam and the pillow cover finished with aloe vera impress with a high level of comfort and a stable and secure feeling of support. According to the manufacturer, orthopaedists were involved in the development process so that a sensible and healthy sleeping position is guaranteed.
Even after severe deformation, the pillow returns to its original shape after a short time, giving it a high-quality and durable appearance.
The aforementioned, practical height adjustment can be carried out quickly and easily thanks to the smooth-running zipper. Only at the lowest height setting of 8 cm did the cushion seem a little too soft in our test. However, this is a very subjective assessment that varies from person to person.
The pillowcase is very easy to clean as it is machine washable . In our test, the cover proved to be dimensionally stable and fit perfectly even after washing. If necessary, the foam core can also be wiped clean with a damp cloth. According to the manufacturer, it is not advisable to wash it completely.
