The Double Sided Tape Tabs from chaarmant Hair Extensions are tape-in extensions that promise the user a strong hold in the hair. The extensions can be safely and gently attached to your own hair without the use of heat. The practical, pre-cut format saves the user time. The small strips are practically invisible and so it is impossible to tell from the outside that the person is wearing extensions. To reduce the load, i.e. the weight per strand of hair, the double-sided tape tabs can also be combined with single-sided tape tabs. This is particularly recommended by the seller for fine natural hair. The adhesive strips can be removed with the chaarmant remover. Provision has also been made in the event that adhesive residue remains in the hair: any adhesive residue can be removed with chaarmant Cleaner. In contrast to clip-in extensions, for example, the tapetabs can remain in the hair for 2-3 months; the seller promises a shelf life of 8-12 weeks. Overall, the product left a very good impression in our test, the price-performance ratio is right and it is an effective, easy to implement and well-suited method for attaching extensions to your own hair in a well-fixed manner over a period of several weeks.

The adhesive strips arrived well and adequately packaged , with no unnecessary packaging waste. The product scope included the adhesive strips (pack of 120) and an adhesive roll (2.75 m). All the components needed to attach the extensions were therefore supplied. An instruction manual would have been desirable – although it is easy to attach, especially for more experienced users , beginners may have difficulties without explanations. It would also be conceivable to add small illustrated instructions to the back of the product or to include a small flyer with information on additional products for easy removal of the adhesive and adhesive residue.

When removing the product from the packaging, it is noticeable that the tapes are cut evenly. The individual strips are small and compact. Overall, the material appears to be of high quality and the dimensions of the strips mean that the product is likely to hold firmly. When stroking the surface, it is noticeable that it has a rubbery coating and feels robust , which indicates adequate stability from the first impression. The high-quality tape tabs are manufactured in the USA and can remain in the hair for up to 12 weeks.

In our extensive practical test, the tapes we tested were able to impress with their strong hold . The “Strong Hold” product type in particular delivered what it promised – the extensions were firmly anchored to the scalp hair and could not be easily torn out by jerky movements. They were applied completely without the use of heat, which was very gentle and easy. The practical, pre-cut format of the tapes saved the buyer time and effort, as there was no need to cut the adhesive strips to size.
The small strips were also practically invisible and therefore fulfilled their purpose very well. It was also easy to remove the extensions without tearing out any of your own hair. However, it should be noted that additional products must be purchased for the professional removal of the extensions, which are not included in the scope of delivery .
According to the manufacturer, the tapes last for around 8-12 weeks, after which time it is recommended that the extensions are removed. Overall, the tapes were convincing in our practical test due to their easy application and strong hold .
We therefore recommend the tapes in particular for people who are looking for a simple and gentle method of hair extension and value a long-lasting hold.
