In our test, the Basic 90x200cm slatted frame from Coemo demonstrated very good functions for a restful night’s sleep. The rubber-supported spring slats offer seven lying zones that provide targeted relief for the shoulder, pelvic and calf areas, preventing tension and back pain. The individual firmness adjustment in five levels allows adjustment to personal preferences and your own body. Although tools are included, the use of a cordless screwdriver is recommended. It is best to work in pairs to assemble the slatted frame, as it requires strength to attach the slats. The slatted frame is 1.95 m long and rests mainly on the sides, which can lead to movement and associated noise on some bed frames and thus impair a peaceful night’s sleep. Customers should therefore check the dimensions of their bed frame before purchasing.

The packaging of the slatted frame leaves a positive impression. The shipping carton is made exclusively from recyclable and renewable materials such as paper and cardboard, which helps to minimize waste and avoids unnecessary packaging material. The edges are protected by anadditional layer of cardboard. As some of the product parts move, additional protection on the inside would be desirable to ensure that the wooden parts survive transportation undamaged. The use of plastic film for the screws inside the packaging protects the product, but could be replaced by the use of recyclable materials.
The contents of the packaging are complete. The assembly instructions are written in German and are easy to understand, which makes assembly easier.

The slatted frame makes a very good impression after assembly. The materials used give the product an appealing look that blends harmoniously into various living environments. The workmanship of the product is of high quality, all individual parts are carefully coordinated and the slatted frame appears stable and solid when assembled. It is to be expected that the product will offer flawless functionality over a longer period of time. Although no information is available on the longevity of the product, it can be assumed that it will last a long time due to the high-quality materials used. This indicates a possible sustainability of the product, as good quality often goes hand in hand with a longer service life.

We took a closer look at the slatted frame in our product test. Assembling the slatted frame proved to be a challenge for one person. The slats are difficult to insert and the screws are sometimes difficult to turn with the Allen key supplied. Assembly by two people and the use of a cordless screwdriver are therefore recommended. The spring and damping properties are very satisfactory overall. The rubber-mounted spring slats are divided into seven lying zones and adapt to the anatomy of the body. This relieves pressure on the shoulders, pelvis and calf area and increases lying comfort. The slatted frame offers individual firmness grading in five levels, which enables adaptation to personal preferences and your own body. This ensures a comfortable lying position and even relief of the entire body, thus ensuring a restful night’s sleep. When assembled, the slatted frame is stable and robust. The wooden slats fit snugly in the rubber caps and the bolted outer slats are firm and compact at the joints. It can therefore be assumed that the slatted frame can easily withstand a load of up to 140 kg and guarantees a long service life. The noise generated by the slatted frame depends largely on how well it fits into the bed frame. As the slatted frame is only 1.95 m long, movements and noises can occur if the bed frame does not fit properly, which can disturb your sleep.
Overall, the slatted frame performs convincingly. However, customers should be careful when fitting it and check the dimensions before purchasing to ensure compatibility with the bed frame.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.2 stars. In some cases, the complicated assembly and the noise generated during movement are criticized, and the slatted frame was sometimes delivered incomplete. On the other hand, the stability and lying properties are positively emphasized. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that assembly is time-consuming and that movements are associated with noise if the bed frame is unsuitable.
