The marten deterrent from Pattler offers an inexpensive and practical way to protect your car from possible marten damage. Installation is simple and can be completed in just a few seconds. The cables can be easily and safely connected to the existing 12V battery. The noise is loud and unpleasant, and the on/off function is also very practical when the car is parked for long periods. This preserves the life of the car battery. On the negative side, the marten repeller may fail.

The build quality of the product is simple, but without defects. The technical components are protected by a thick plastic casing. The switch is protected by a soft plastic casing and can be switched on and off at any time. There are a total of 4 attachment points so that the marten repellent can be attached to the bodywork or to plastic parts in the engine compartment. The cables are sufficiently long so that the marten deterrent can be easily attached to any standard car.

In the practical test, the function was first tested when connected to the 12V car battery. This was carried out without any problems. The on/off switch works perfectly and is easy to operate. The multiple screw-on points of the marten repeller mean that it can be easily attached in the engine compartment of the car if the cable is long enough. If no screws are required, cable ties are included so that the marten repellent can also be attached without screws. The on/off switch works several times without any problems and is protected from environmental influences by thick plastic packaging. The cable length is sufficient and has no quality defects, so that the installation can be carried out without hesitation using the fork clamps. Installation is self-explanatory and very simple. However, brief instructions are supplied.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.3 stars. In individual cases, there are complaints that it does not always work as specified. On the other hand, the simple and functional design and the good price/performance ratio are emphasised positively. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the simple and functional design of the marten repeller is well received by customers. However, consumer criticism of the lack of functionality was not justified.
Prices of up to €65.99 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very cheap products are available from as little as €16.99 . The Pattler® marten repellent is therefore currently in the lower price segment with a price of €29.99. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio is very good.
