The packaging made a robust and well thought-out impression in the test. The shipping box was made of recyclable material and had a compact design to avoid unnecessary waste. The contents – two dumbbell bars, twelve weight discs and four star fasteners – were securely and neatly packed so that no damage occurred during transport. A multilingual instruction manual was included, which was clearly worded and contained the most important information on how to use the dumbbell set. One small point of criticism remains the use of plastic film inside the packaging – a more environmentally friendly alternative would be desirable here.

The dumbbell set makes a good first impression. The simple, functional design in neutral black looks professional and functional. The non-slip, ergonomically shaped handles on the dumbbell bars provide a secure grip even during intensive exercises. The weight discs are made of a cement-sand mixture and coated in plastic. All parts fit together perfectly and have no visible defects . The stability of the set is also impressive. The star fasteners hold the weight discs securely in place without any play or wobbling. Even under heavy loads, the set remains stable and provides a secure base for training. The manufacturer does not provide any specific information on sustainability. However, the materials used appear robust and durable, which suggests a long service life.

The ArtSport dumbbell set demonstrated reliable locking security in the practical test. The star fasteners held the weight discs securely in place even during intensive training sessions. Even after repeated use, the fasteners remained stable and showed no signs of wear. The handles offered a non-slip grip, but proved to be a little too thin for people with larger hands. This can lead to slight instability with heavier weights or longer training sessions. The balance of the set is consistently good. The weight distribution remained constant regardless of the number and combination of discs used. Noise levels were low thanks to the plastic coating of the weight discs. The set remained pleasantly quiet even during dynamic movements. Compatibility with weight plates from other manufacturers was given, only minor adjustments were necessary, but these did not affect functionality and safety.
Overall, the set impressed with its secure fasteners, good balance and low noise levels, although the handles could be optimised for larger hands.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.2 stars. Some people criticise the fact that the weights are smeared with oil and the handles are considered too thin. On the other hand, the good price-performance ratio and the overall good workmanship of the set are emphasised positively. Our practical test confirmed the good quality of the dumbbell set. We were unable to confirm the criticism of the oil-smeared weights, as the weights tested were clean and without defects. However, the comment about the thin handles is understandable and could be a disadvantage for some users.
Prices of up to €59.99 are charged on the internet for equivalent products. Very affordable products are available from as little as €22.50 . The ArtSport dumbbell set is therefore currently in the middle price segment with a price of €49.99. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio is very good.
