The DIY Comfort Flex slatted frame is a versatile zone slatted frame that has been specially developed for individual sleeping needs. Thanks to its 28 super-elastic spring wood slats, it offers harmonious pressure distribution and optimum adaptation to the body contours. Particularly noteworthy are the soft comfort zones in the shoulder and pelvic area, which ensure correct support for the spine.The manually adjustable head section allows flexible adaptation to personal lying preferences. The firmness adjustment also allows individual adjustment to body weight and desired firmness.
The plywood and solid wood construction and a stabilising textile belt contribute to the durability of the product. Minor weaknesses can be seen in abrasions on individual wooden struts, but these do not impair functionality. Even though the assembly instructions are mostly understandable, some details could be presented more clearly. Nevertheless, the slatted frame impresses with its high-quality workmanship, TÜV-tested quality and quick and easy self-assembly, which makes the price-performance ratio particularly attractive.

The DIY slatted frame Komfort Flex arrived neatly packaged and safe for transport. The packaging was tailored to the product and did not contain any superfluous material, which is positive in terms of sustainability. The product was delivered in perfect condition.
The delivery included the slatted frame in individual parts as well as illustrated assembly instructions and instructions for use. All parts were included in the packaging so that assembly was guaranteed. The instructions for use were easy to understand. However, some of the more complex assembly steps could be described in more detail in the assembly instructions to make the assembly process even easier.

The DIY slatted frame Komfort Flex is visually appealing thanks to its simple and modern design, which suits a variety of bedroom interiors. The materials used – multi-ply veneered plywood and solid birch and beech wood – are of high quality and ensure a robust construction. While the workmanship can generally be rated as excellent, minor abrasions were visible on some of the wooden struts. However, these do not affect stability or functionality.
The stability of the slatted frame is particularly noteworthy: Thanks to the high-quality workmanship, the product shows no weaknesses, even under load. Sustainability is supported by the choice of materials, as the wood used guarantees a long service life.

The DIY slatted frame Comfort Flex was tested for its functionality in various realistic test situations and showed excellent results overall. The head section can be flexibly adjusted in height, although in our test the desired level did not always engage straight away. The accuracy of fit of the parts was excellent: All components could be connected without any great effort, making assembly effortless.
In terms of stability, the slatted frame scored perfectly. It remained dimensionally stable under even loads and dynamic movements and showed no signs of deformation or noise. This speaks in favour of the high-quality material selection of plywood and solid wood.
The mechanism for adjusting the firmness levels was easy and intuitive to operate, without the use of tools. The adjustable headboard also fulfilled its purpose reliably and allowed individual adjustment to different sleeping positions. Noise levels were minimal, both without the mattress and during everyday movements while sleeping, which did not interfere with a good night’s sleep.
