The Bolt handcuff lock from the Aaron brand is a high-quality and sturdy safety lock for e-scooters. The product is versatile and can also be used to secure scooters, bicycles or baby carriages, for example, depending on requirements. The quality and workmanship of the lock should be emphasized positively. The 15 mm thick steel chain inside is resistant to cutting, hammering, sawing and drilling and therefore offers theft protection. Only durable materials were used in the manufacture of the product – it is made of stainless and hardened steel. When you hold the Aaron Bolt handcuff lock in your hand for the first time, you immediately notice its weight. At 1.5 kg, the lock seems quite heavy at first, but due to the materials used, it can be assumed that the weight of the product can hardly be reduced. Due to its size, the lock is easy to transport and can be taken anywhere if required. The chain of the lock feels very robust and stable and has a coating. The surface of the handcuffs has a rubber-like coating, which indicates that the product can be used safely without leaving scratches on the e-scooter. The three reversible keys supplied also look high-quality and the fact that not just one key but a total of three keys are included with the product is very well thought out. In the event that one of the keys is lost, the two remaining keys are still available to the buyer. The first impression of the handcuff lock is very positive.

We tested the Aaron Bolt handcuff lock on a bicycle . Overall, the handcuff lock offers optimum protection thanks to its resistance to cutting, hammering, sawing and drilling. The high-quality materials are rustproof and therefore weatherproof and made a robust impression in the test. A particularly positive feature is the 23 cm long armored link chain, which can be rotated very flexibly, making it very easy to lock the bike. A nylon fabric is attached over the chain to prevent scratches on the bike. The solid, rubber-like coating of the reinforced clamps also helps to protect the surface of the bike. The locking mechanism is very practical – the links can be locked in two stages so that the diameter of the handcuffs can be set to 74 or 85 mm as required. The handcuffs can be opened and closed quickly and easily. Due to its overall length of approx. 56 cm and its flexibility, the lock is very easy to transport.
