Manufacturer’s product description
The andiamo Samson doormat is a robust door mat that has been specially designed to effectively keep dirt and moisture out of the front door or entrance area. It is ideal for indoor and covered outdoor areas such as patios, garages or even as a base for feeding bowls and caravans. Made from 80% cotton and 20% polyester, this clean-walk mat combines natural materials with high durability to make everyday life easier.
In practical tests, the product impressed with its ability to absorb moisture and dirt without anything getting into the living area – a clear advantage for households with children or pets. The non-slip rubber backing ensures a secure hold, and the fact that it can be washed at 30°C or vacuumed makes it easy to care for. In addition, the doormat has a timeless design that blends seamlessly into various environments.
However, one negative aspect is that the mat is slightly fuzzy, which leads to fibres in the vacuum cleaner – improved fibre bonding would be desirable.
Overall, the andiamo Samson doormat offers a good compromise between functionality and design, ideal for everyday use.

At Prüfengel GmbH, we thoroughly examined the andiamo Samson doormat for its first impression, starting with the packaging. The sturdy cardboard box protects the product adequately from transport damage without excessive padding material, ensuring safe arrival. We were particularly impressed by the sustainability of the packaging: unnecessary waste has been avoided, and the simple cardboard box serves its purpose efficiently without plastic film or additional filling materials. This underlines an environmentally conscious approach that benefits end consumers who value waste reduction. The package contents were complete – the clean-off mat itself was neatly rolled up, with no missing parts or unnecessary accessories. There were no separate instructions for use, but this is not a problem as the product is intuitive and self-explanatory: simply roll out and position. Overall, the packaging conveys professionalism and practicality, which makes it easy to start using the door mat. For consumers who value ease of use, this is a strong plus point that positively influences the overall impression and creates trust in the andiamo brand.

At Prüfengel GmbH, we attach great importance to evaluating products such as the andiamo Samson doormat in terms of their feel and appearance. Upon first contact, the clean-off mat impresses with its attractive appearance: The colour scheme is subtle and harmonious, and the rectangular shape is functional, allowing it to blend seamlessly into a variety of environments, whether in the hallway, on the patio or in the garage. The overall workmanship is good, with clean seams and a solid rubber backing that promises stability; however, we did notice some slight pilling, which could become visible with intensive use. In terms of stability, the door mat is completely convincing: it feels robust, resists pulling and pressing and retains its shape thanks to the hard-wearing blend of cotton and polyester. The manufacturer does not provide any explicit information on the sustainability of the product, but the use of natural materials such as cotton suggests a more environmentally friendly alternative to purely synthetic mats. This makes the doormat attractive to conscious consumers. Overall, it makes a solid first impression, combining functionality and aesthetics, although a lint-free surface would further enhance its premium appeal.

In a comprehensive practical test conducted by Prüfengel GmbH, we put the andiamo Samson doormat through its paces to check whether the manufacturer’s claims live up to expectations. The slip resistance proved to be largely stable: thanks to the rubber backing, there was only minimal slippage on smooth floors, which provides a secure grip in hectic everyday situations – a clear yes to this claim. When washed at 30°C, the clean-run mat came out clean with only minimal residue; however, it became slightly fuzzy after washing, which slightly reduces its ease of care, but not dramatically. The cleaning efficiency with a vacuum cleaner was impressive: most of the visible dirt could be removed, although many carpet fibres ended up in the dust container, which indicates a loose fibre bond. The drying time after cleaning was normal and usual, without excessive delays, which underlines its suitability for everyday use. The colour fastness and shape retention are pleasing: even after the second wash and dry, the door mat showed no discolouration or deformation, confirming its durability. Overall, the manufacturer keeps most of its promises, with minor exceptions in terms of lint formation, which could be relevant for long-term use.
