ℹ️ Before we start the practical test, we take a close look at the product processing. How high-quality are the materials used? Are the haptics & optics satisfactory?

At the beginning it should be mentioned that the color combination of white and silver is visually very appealing and looks classy.
It is also noticeable that the pedal bin is made of robust stainless steel. The white surface has a matte powder coating, which prevents fingerprints from collecting here. On the other hand, the shiny lid of the bucket is very susceptible to fingerprints.
A final conclusion on the “sustainability” category can only be drawn after a long period of use. Due to the very good quality of the pedal bin, however, it can be assumed that the product will be durable.
The soft-close function of the trash can is particularly noteworthy. The lid closes automatically and silently.
However, it should be noted that one of the products sent to us was defective. The inner plastic bucket has wedged itself in the lid and cannot be detached from it. We assume that this is a one-off error, but we have to deduct 40 points in the "Workmanship" category because of this defective item.

In our test, we tested the elegant pedal bin on both tiles and laminate. We also used the trash can with and without a plastic bag in the practical test. The manufacturer promises that the pedal bin will not slip during use. However, we could not confirm this slip resistance in our practical test, since the garbage can slipped with almost every operation of the foot pedals. A solution to this would be desirable.
In our practical test, it was also noticeable that the pedal bin remained free of fingerprints on the powder-coated area. However, fingerprints and water stains accumulate very quickly on the glossy lid. A powder coating on the lid would therefore be a suggested solution to improve the product.
Overall, the pedal bin makes a good impression.
