Test result preview
In our practical test, the raised toilet seat from the BenaVita brand proved to be a hit in terms of quality and reliability. According to the manufacturer, the high-quality workmanship made of very sturdy duroplast ensures a maximum load of 175 kg, which usually exceeds the general requirements for such a product.
Thanks to the silent closing mechanism and the comfortable 5 cm seat elevation, the product also leaves nothing to be desired in terms of comfort. It is also very easy and quick to assemble and was therefore particularly convincing in our practical test.
The additional internal angle clips also ensure a very good hold and therefore offer additional security. This makes the product an ideal choice for a high-quality and reliable toilet seat, which was rewarded with a very good rating from us.

Packaging and contents
Here we take a closer look at packaging. Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important factor. In addition, adequate protection of the product must of course also be guaranteed. Are the contents of the packaging complete and does the manufacturer make it as easy as possible for me to use the product straight away?

The raised toilet lid from the BenaVita brand arrives in a sturdy cardboard box. The most important product information is printed on the outside. Inside, there are cardboard spacers to protect the product from damage during transportation. The packaging is generally designed to be resource-saving and compact, but the toilet seat itself is wrapped in extra foil, which seems superfluous in our eyes – a minor criticism of what is otherwise very safe and practical packaging.
The scope of delivery includes the toilet seat, a small bag of screws and instructions for use and assembly with all the important information, which provide helpful support thanks to reliable designations and diagrams for assembly. Overall, the product therefore makes a very good first impression.

The product also impresses on closer inspection. After removing the film, the quality is consistently flawless, with no defects or unclean edges. The workmanship therefore appears to be of high quality. The overall result is a simple and unagitated, yet clean and appealing appearance.
The product also appears very robust thanks to this clean finish. The manufacturer advertises a load capacity of up to 175 kg and that it is made from durable and resistant duroplast. In our opinion, this is also an extremely stable product that leaves nothing to be desired in this respect, although the manufacturer is not convincing in terms of sustainability. Unfortunately, no information is provided here. Due to the high-quality materials used and the associated longevity of the product, we nevertheless attest the toilet seat a certain degree of sustainability.

The raised toilet seat from the BenaVita brand was convincing in our practical test without any limitations. We fitted and removed the lid several times on various suitable toilets.
First of all, the product comes in a rather simple yet appealing design. This means that it fits perfectly and without restriction into any conventional bathroom, making the product versatile.
For our test, we mounted and dismounted the lid on several oval toilets. Presumably by chance, we only ever needed the middle of the five mounting holes. At the same time, the product offers a certain degree of flexibility thanks to the different hole spacings . In its product advertising, the manufacturer explicitly refers to the fit requirements for mounting the product. Even though installation on toilets with concealed mounting holes or on a different toilet shape would of course be sensible and desirable , this should not diminish the product’s rating.
In all cases, installation was successful in just a few minutes and very easy to reproduce. The installation tool supplied was just as useful as our own tools.
Both during and after installation, we were able to confirm that the manufacturer did not promise too much. The product has a high-quality finish, is extremely stable and has no discernible weak points. Due to physical limitations, we were unable to test the seat with the specified maximum weight of 175 kg – however, at around 130 kg, the seat remained firmly in the installed position despite jolting and pushing. The angle clips on the inside provided additional stability.
However, the product is particularly impressive in terms of comfort. The built-in soft-close mechanism for silent closing and the general seating comfort are pleasant and well thought-out. The 5 cm raised seat makes it easier to stand up.
Cleaning is also unrestricted and completely satisfactory. The antibacterial material used can be treated with conventional bathroom cleaners and is therefore naturally ideal for use, making the product completely convincing in the practical test, which underlines the toilet seat’s very good overall rating.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.8 stars. In individual cases, there are complaints that the toilet seat looks rather clunky and unattractive. On the other hand, the functional design and high-quality manufacturing of the product are praised. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the product is very stable and appears to be up to the job. We can understand the criticism from consumers regarding the appearance, even if this is naturally very subjective.
Prices of up to € 87.30 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very inexpensive products are available from as little as €49.90. The toilet lid from BenaVita is therefore currently in the mid-price segment with a price of €64.99. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio isreasonable.
