About Us

Prüfengel offers authentic consumer tests in which real users share their experiences with products. Our tests are based on practical applications in everyday life and reflect the opinions of consumers. As we focus on consumer tests, we do not carry out any material, long-term or laboratory tests. The tests are carried out by 1-2 independent consumers over a period of 7-14 days. Manufacturers provide the tested products free of charge. We charge a one-off test fee for carrying out the tests. In addition, manufacturers pay an annual licence fee for the use of the Prüfengel seal. We also receive a commission for linking to manufacturers’ websites. These remunerations have no influence on our test results or ratings.

With the Monty Shasta,BikePeak offers a versatile inner tube for urban, city and trekking bikes. Made from elastic butyl rubber, this model impresses with its high airtightness and solid puncture resistance. The tube is compatible with tyre sizes from 28-622 to 47-622, as well as other sizes such as 40-609 and 40-635. A high-quality Presta valve with a length of 40 mm ensures precise inflation and reliable pressure retention. The strength of the material, which rarely needs to be re-inflated, is particularly evident on longer rides. The inner tube is suitable for common brand tyres such as Schwalbe, Continental and Michelin. BikePeak’s product is aimed at everyday cyclists who value quality and ease of use. When opening the packaging, the compact and practical design immediately catches the eye. The two tubes are neatly rolled up and protected by simple cardboard packaging that is easy to open. All relevant information, such as tyre sizes, valve type and material, is clearly printed on the outside. No unnecessary frills, just a functional design that focuses on the essentials. At first glance, the tubes themselves appear to be of high quality and evenly manufactured. The valve is also well protected and securely integrated. When you roll out the Monty Shasta tube for the first time, you will see that the surface is smooth and even. There are no manufacturing defects or material irregularities. The valve is firmly in place and straight, which indicates precise workmanship. The seam created by the vulcanisation process is also clean and barely noticeable. The material thickness is well thought out: it is not too thick to add unnecessary weight, but sturdy enough for everyday use. BikePeak has opted for a classic deep black colour.
