The BOODY cargo shorts from Nebulus made a very good overall impression in our test. The trousers have six practical closable pockets, belt loops and an elastic waistband. They are available in six different colors and five different sizes. For our test, we received the trousers in the beige shade “Cement” and in size M. The trousers have a loose fit and are very comfortable. The material quality and workmanship are just as impressive as the practicality of the trousers. The trousers offer plenty of storage space and are comfortable even at high temperatures thanks to the loose cut.

We have looked at and tested the product in detail in a practical test. In the following, we take a closer look at the features and impressions. The product is subjected to our test procedure from the packaging, materials and quality to the range of functions and handling.

ℹ️ Here we take a closer look at packaging. Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important factor. In addition, adequate protection of the product must of course also be ensured.

The BOODY cargo shorts from Nebulus were delivered together with other products in a sturdy shipping box. The shipping box was undamaged and could be easily opened with a knife or scissors. The box was also optimally sized and filled to the top edge. This efficient packaging not only minimizes the amount of material required, but also ensures optimum utilization of the transport vehicles, which helps to protect the environment . When we opened the box, we found the BOODY cargo shorts in their product packaging. The product packaging consists of a transparent, tear-resistant and non-stretch plastic bag in which the BOODY cargo shorts were carefully packed. The Nebulus logo is clearly printed on the front of the packaging. There is also a sticker on the packaging which, in addition to a barcode, also shows the product name and the size of the cargo shorts. The back of the packaging contains warnings in four languages, including German and English, indicating that the bag poses a choking hazard. The bag has a resealable opening on the top, which is provided with an adhesive strip. This adhesive strip is reusable so that the bag can be easily resealed if it is returned. There is also a thin layer of paper between the individual layers of the carefully folded shorts to prevent the fabric from rubbing during transportation. Thanks to the careful packaging with the shipping box and the plastic bag, the BOODY cargo shorts are optimally protected against damage and soiling.

ℹ️ Most people’s first impression after unpacking is immediately memorable. Are the contents of the package complete and does the manufacturer make it as easy as possible for me to use the product straight away?

As expected, the BOODY cargo shorts do not require any additional accessories and are delivered without them. There is a cardboard disc the size of a beer mat on the label, which is printed on both sides in high gloss with the Nebulus logo, which can also be found on the product packaging.
There are no instructions for use, but they are not required. Washing instructions can be found on a label on the inside of the pants, where this is illustrated with the familiar symbols. There is also information on the material composition of the BOODY cargo shorts and the size and product name.

ℹ️ Before we start the practical test, we take a close look at the product processing. How high quality are the materials used? Is the look and feel satisfactory?

For our test, we received the BOODY cargo shorts in the beige color Cement. In addition to this color, Nebulus also offers the trousers in five other colors. The beige color gives the trousers a friendly look. They are designed for men and are made from a comfortable fabric that offers optimum comfort .
As is usual with cargo shorts, the trousers also have several pockets. As with normal pants, there are two pockets on the frontbelow the waistband and two other large pockets in the thigh area. The trousers also have back pockets on both sides. The two pockets in the thigh area and on the back have a typical cargo shorts fabric overlap above the pocket opening. All pockets can be securely fastened with a Velcro fastener. As a special visual highlight, the Norway flag is sewn onto two of the front fabric overlaps. A patch with the Nebulus lettering is sewn onto the right rear back pocket. This Nebulus patch is also attached to the front pockets in the form of ribbons.
The trousers have belt loops to allow a belt to be fastened securely. In addition to these loops, the trousers also have an elastic waistband. As a further feature, two small eyelets are sewn into the waistband on both sides. This means that the trousers can even be hung on coat hooks.
The fabric of the trousers is relatively thin, barely stretchable and tear-resistant. According to the manufacturer, the trousers are made entirely of cotton. The weave of the fabric is even, very fine and gives the trousers a matt sheen. The seams are also all even and clean. There are hardly any protruding threads and, if there are any, they are only very short. Apart from this, there are no other manufacturing faults on the trousers.
Overall, the cargo shorts with the Nebulus lettering are a fashionable and practical item of clothing thanks to the many pockets. The quality of the fabrics used and the seams as well as the overall workmanship are also impressive.

The BOODY cargo shorts are available in various sizes from S to XL. For our test, we received the trousers in size M . For our tester, who is 170 cm tall, the size M trousers reach up to the beginning of the shins. The trousers have the typical wide and loose cut of cargo trousers. Thanks to the elastic waistband, the trousers fit extremely comfortably and can also be worn without a belt. However, if the pockets are loaded with heavy items, a belt provides additional support to prevent the trousers from slipping. Another advantage is the low weight of the trousers, which makes them barely noticeable when worn as long as there are no objects in the pockets.
Thanks to the thin fabric and wide cut , the trousers offer good ventilation and are therefore ideal for hot summer days. The movement of the fabric as you walk keeps the air circulating in the trouser legs, which ensures a pleasant climate inside the trousers despite their length.
The pockets of the BOODY cargo shorts also offer impressive storage space. The two pockets at thigh height in particular offer a large capacity thanks to a sewn-in crease and can be opened outwards. All pockets can be securely fastened with the sewn-in Velcro fastener . This is extremely practical and allows important items to be stored safely.
In the final part of our practical test, we washed the trousers in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. For the BOODY tro users, this means an easy-care wash cycle at 30 °C, without drying and ironing at temperatures above 110 °C, which corresponds to the usual recommendations for comparable garments. Unfortunately, washing at 60 °C, as would be recommended after sporting activities or when heavily soiled, is not possible. After washing, the trousers smell of the detergent used, otherwise there are no noticeable differences. The trousers survive the washing process without damage or fading.
Overall, the BOODY cargo shorts impressed us in our practical test. They fit well, ensure a pleasant climate inside and, with their numerous pockets, offer a practical solution for storing items.

ℹ️ Finally, we look at how the product compares to the competition. Can it keep up with the competition in terms of price and quality? Would we generally recommend buying it? We also examine consumer ratings and check whether the critical and positive reviews are actually justified.
