The Type 2 charging cable 11KW 5M from GONEO has been specially developed for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids to enable charging at public charging stations in Europe. The cable is characterised by its high charging power of up to 11 KW, its compatibility with a wide range of vehicle models and its robust safety features. It enables fast charging, so that a range of 76 km can be achieved in just one hour. However, in addition to the numerous advantages such as the high charging speed and excellent compatibility , there are also minor weaknesses that were identified during the test.

The type 2 11KW 5M charging cable from GONEO makes a high-quality and very positive first impression as soon as it is unpacked. It is supplied in a cardboard box that corresponds to the size of the coiled cable. When unpacking, the cable is very easy to remove thanks to the reusable storage bag. The operating instructions are very well written and are available in German and English to ensure user-friendly handling. Only the plugs are protected by a plastic bubble wrap, which could be replaced by a more sustainable alternative.
The contents of the packaging are complete and in perfect condition. The perfectly fitting packaging once again emphasises the high quality of the product.

The charging cable impresses at first glance with its sturdy workmanship. The plugs with cap protection give it a very high-quality appearance. The product has no chemical odours or similar. Overall, it makes a very stable impression. The supplied storage bag is ideal for transporting the charging cable in the car to save space. Despite the lack of information on the sustainability of the product, it is clear that high-quality materials were used in its manufacture.

Our practical test of the type 2 11KW 5M charging cable from GONEO shows that the manufacturer keeps its promises.
The functional test of the plugs revealed no damage, a perfect fit and a flawless mechanical and electrical connection, both in the multimeter test and during the actual charging process.
Checking the cable length revealed an exact match with the manufacturer’s specifications, so that the cable can be handled and stowed away correctly. From our point of view, the 7m variant is the better choice, as the electric car can also be parked forwards to the charging station.
Water resistance is complete, with no signs of water inside the cable or connectors. The electrical connection and function were flawless.
The temperature development during operation remained constant and safely below 40°C, indicating optimal heat dissipation and a secure electrical connection.
The fit of the connectors was tight and stable, without any movement, ensuring a secure and reliable electrical connection.
All in all, the type 2 11KW 5M charging cable from GONEO impresses with its high quality and safety and is ideally suited for everyday use.
