The GRINSEZWERGE children’s thermo mug is a stainless steel thermo container specially developed for children, designed to keep food and drinks warm or cold for longer periods of time. With a capacity of 500 ml, it is ideal for transporting baby porridge, muesli, yoghurt or other meals on the go. Thanks to the innovative stainless steel vacuum insulation, the manufacturer promises a heat retention time of up to ten hours and a cold retention time of up to fourteen hours.
A special feature is the child-friendly design with motifs such as unicorns or firemen, which is specially tailored to the preferences of the little ones. However, it would be desirable if the thermo mug were available in different sizes to meet the different needs of the users.

The GRINSEZWERGE children’s thermo mug comes in sturdy and attractively designed packaging that reflects the chosen motif of the mug. The packaging is tailored to the product size and does not use any superfluous material, which emphasises the company’s sustainable approach. When unpacking, it is noticeable that the thermo mug is additionally protected from scratches or soiling during transport by a protective film. From a sustainability perspective, it would be nice to do without plastic completely. However, from an environmental point of view, the use of plastic film could be reduced or replaced by alternative materials. The scope of delivery includes the thermo mug itself as well as a practical spoon and a sealing ring, and the handling and care of the product is explained on the packaging.

The thermo mug impresses with its friendly and child-friendly design, which goes down well with children. The choice of colours and motifs – such as unicorn or fireman – are lovingly designed and appeal specifically to young users. The workmanship is high quality; there are no visible sharp edges or production faults. The mug appears robust and stable overall, which indicates a long service life. Even with frequent everyday use, the thermo mug is resistant to knocks and scratches. One particularly positive aspect to emphasise is that the product is BPA-free – an important criterion for health-conscious parents. Although there is no further information on the general sustainability of production, the use of stainless steel and the solid workmanship suggest that the thermo mug has been designed for long-term use.

In practical use, the GRINSEZWERGE children’s thermo mug impressed across the board. In the leak test, the cup proved to be absolutely leak-proof. Even with vigorous shaking and dynamic movement, the contents remained completely inside – no leaks could be detected at either the drinking opening or the screw cap. The thermo mug also met expectations in terms of heat retention: Liquids filled in hot kept their temperature over a longer period of time, making the product ideal for hot meals or drinks on the go. Cleaning also proved to be easy – even after being filled with strongly coloured liquids, the mug was completely free of residue and left a hygienically perfect impression. In terms of flavour neutrality, there was no noticeable difference to freshly poured water – a sign of the high-quality choice of material. The closure mechanism was also convincing with its stable, smooth handling and reliable functionality. Overall, the thermo mug proved to be a well thought-out, reliable product for children that is suitable for everyday use.
