The Compression Packing Cubes from Samfolk offer an excellent solution for organisation and space requirements when travelling. The eight-piece set is printed with different items of clothing, which makes unpacking easier as you can immediately see what is in which cube. Despite their compact size, the Compression Cubes offer an amazing amount of storage space and save up to 60 % space when travelling. An additional zip expands the capacity of the cubes even further, allowing you to store even more luggage.
Made from robust Oxford fabric, the cubes are not only tear-resistant but also waterproof, making them ideal for various travelling conditions. One small disadvantage , however, is the chemical odour that can be detected after unpacking.

We took a close look at the product and tested it in practice. In the following, we take a closer look at the features and impressions. From the packaging, materials and quality to the range of functions and handling, the product is subjected to our test procedure.

For our product test, the compression packing cubes from Samfolk arrived in a neutral shipping box. The box was in perfect condition and was easy to open. Inside the shipping box was the product packaging, which was labelled with the product name, logo and an attractive product image . On the back was the manufacturing location , which is in China . The compression cubes were vacuum-packed in a plastic bag . In our opinion, the plastic would not have been necessary and a more sustainable packaging option would have been desirable. The Compression Packing Cubes themselves made a very good impression at first glance, despite the perceptible chemical odour. A product leaflet was included, but this was only written in French .

The visual appearance of the Compression Packing Cubes is characterised by a functional design and an appealing overall look. The illustration of the items of clothing on the cubes is particularly helpful and makes organisation easier. However, some cubes, such as the laundry bag, are relatively small. In terms of workmanship , the overall quality is good, although some of the seams are sewn crooked, which detracts slightly from the appearance. The stability of the cubes is very high, as they are made of robust Oxford fabric and have a double zip. There is no specific information on the sustainability of the product, but the use of robust materials is emphasised, which indicates a long-lasting product.

The two-way zip worked perfectly in all test scenarios and ensured smooth handling. Slight moisture was detected inside the cube during the waterproofness test, but the paper inserted for the test purpose remained largely dry, which indicates an acceptable level of protection. Cleaning the cubes is uncomplicated: After hand washing and air drying as recommended by the manufacturer, they are spotlessly clean and show no changes whatsoever. In terms of packing capacity , a volume reduction of around 40 to 50 % was achieved in the piles of clothing before and after packing. However, some cubes, such as the Laundry Bag, proved to be too small for larger laundry. The XL and L-Cubes could also be optimised in size to offer more flexibility when packing.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.4 stars. In some cases, the fact that it is perceived as too small is criticised. On the other hand, the functional and practical design and high robustness are emphasised positively. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the functional design of the Compression Packing Cubes is well received by customers. However, consumer criticism of the size of some cubes was justified.
Prices of up to €38.97 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very cheap products are available from as little as €25.88 . The Compression Packing Cubes from Samfolk® are therefore currently in the lower price segment with a price of €27.99. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio is very good.
