We enjoyed testing the Creano glass teapot. Using the teapot is very easy to understand and the tea is prepared quickly. The teapot is supplied as an all-in-one, i.e. the matching stainless steel tea strainer and the glass lid for the teapot are included.
The glass teapot with integrated stainless steel strainer has been specially designed for preparing loose teas. By simply removing the stainless steel strainer, this teapot can also be used universally for tea bags or blooming teas.
The product is suitable for use on a teapot in the dishwasher and microwave.
The supplied glass lid sits firmly on the pot when used with the supplied adapter ring. It is also difficult to hold the product when full and the tea can no longer be poured into the cup without dripping.

The test
General information
We have looked at and tested the product in detail in a practical test. In the following, we take a closer look at the features and impressions. The product is subjected to our test procedure from the packaging, materials and quality to the range of functions and handling.
To give you a quick overview, we work with a points system. The maximum possible number of points per area is 100 points. The final overall score is calculated from the average of all tested features, taking into account the respective weightings. The first impression
The packaging and labelling
ℹ️ Here we take a closer look at packaging. Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important factor. In addition, adequate protection of the product must of course also be ensured.
Criterion | Remark | Score achieved* |
---|---|---|
Product protection | Sturdy box, product adequately protected with precisely fitting polystyrene insert | 100 points |
Sustainability Packaging | No unnecessary packaging waste, items packed compactly | 90 points |
Product labelling | Labelling available | 85 points |
Total | 92 points |
*The maximum score is 100 points
The Creano teapot arrived for our test in thetypical shipping box , which was easy to open. The design of the outer box was kept simple, but is very attractive . It contains the description, features and instructions for use of the product. Unfortunately, this description is in very small print. The operating instructions were printed on the box in five other languages . However, the LFGB labelling was not clearly printed on the product or carton. The manufacturer was able to send this to us on request. Furthermore, borosilicate glass is a safe glass that does not contain or release any potentially harmful substances.
The teapot in the outer carton is protected by two polystyrene inserts. The glass jar is stabilised even in the event of shocks and is therefore difficult to break. In addition, the Creano teapot does not use unnecessary packaging. It is reduced to the essentials and definitely offers sufficient product protection. The first impression is very good, as neither the product nor the packaging used was damaged.
After unpacking
Package contents and instructions
ℹ️ Most people’s first impression after unpacking is immediately memorable. Are the contents of the pack complete and does the manufacturer make it as easy as possible for me to use the product straight away?
Criterion | Remark | Score achieved* |
---|---|---|
Package contents & scope | Teapot with lid, adapter ring and tea strainer | 100 points |
Instructions for use | In German and five other languages on the outer carton | 80 points |
Contact information | Can be found on the outer carton | 70 points |
Total | 83 points |
*The maximum score is 100 points
After unpacking, I found the following on the table: the borosilicate glass teapot, the stainless steel strainer, the glass lid, an adapter for the lid and stainless steel strainer. The manufacturer ‘s name and addressare on the back of the product box.
The outer carton contains the description, properties and instructions for use of the product. Unfortunately, this description is in very small print. The operating instructions were printed on the box in five other languages . An instruction manual inside the box would be desirable.

Product processing and appearance
ℹ️ Before we start the practical test, we take a close look at the product processing. How high quality are the materials used? Is the look and feel satisfactory?
Criterion | Remark | Points achieved* |
---|---|---|
Visual appearance | Simple but appealing design | 95 points |
Processing | Glass without damage, stainless steel parts partly edged | 70 points |
Stability | Stable, but caution is still required with glass | 90 points |
Sustainability of the product | No information on sustainability – however, high-quality materials ensure a long service life | 85 points |
Total | 85 points |
*The maximum score is 100 points
The Creano teapot has an elegant glass design, but still looks simple. The high-quality effect is further emphasised by the individual stainless steel components. Unfortunately, parts of the adapter ring are slightly angular. The finish on the tea strainer itself is also not 100% smooth. However, the glass handle is a little too small, which increases the risk of burning on the pot. There was no information about sustainability, but the use of high-quality materials suggests a long service life. Basically, the teapot is very sturdy, but as always, a little caution is required with glass, as it can break relatively quickly if hit too hard.
This is what our practical test showed
Does the manufacturer keep its advertising promises?
ℹ️ Our practical test is the most relevant and therefore the most important. Here, the product has to undergo a wide range of criteria and tests. We check the functions and product promises of the test article.
Criterion | Remark | Score achieved* |
---|---|---|
Preparation | Just put tea bags/loose tea in the sieve, boil water and you’re done | 95 points |
Preparation | Pour in boiling water and wait a few minutes, very lightly | 95 points |
Wearing comfort | A little difficult due to the relatively small handle | 80 points |
Catering | Good flavour from fine glass | 95 points |
Total | 91 points |
*The maximum score is 100 points
The Creano teapot performed well in the test. The preparation for the tea is limited to the consumer simply placing the desired amount of tea bags or loose tea in the stainless steel strainer and boiling the water. Then fill the pot with hot water and leave the tea to infuse for the specified time. The lid should be placed on the teapot to prevent heat from escaping. The lid holds securely both with and without the tea strainer as long as the adapter ring is inserted. Unfortunately, pouring from the teapot is not completely drip-free, especially when the teapot is full. However, the amount of dripping is very small.
Price/performance ratio
and ratings from consumers
ℹ️ Finally, we look at how the product compares to the competition. Can it keep up with the competition in terms of price and quality? Would we generally recommend buying it? We also analyse consumer reviews and check whether the critical and positive reviews are actually justified.
Criterion | Remark | Score achieved* |
---|---|---|
Price / performance ratio | Good price/performance ratio | 90 points |
Rating cut | 4.5 out of 5.0 on Amazon | 75 points |
Total | 83 points |
*The maximum score is 100 points
On the Amazon platform, consumers have given the product an average rating of 4.4 stars. They often criticise the fact that the teapotis not drip-freeand the glass lid only rests lightly. Many customers like the elegant design and the all-in-one solution for easy tea preparation. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that it was particularly easy and uncomplicated to use. If you use the adapter ring supplied, the glass lid sits relatively firmly on the pot.
Prices of up to €35 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very inexpensive products are available from as little as €20. With a price of €24.90 (1.2 litre jug), the Creano teapot is currently in the middle price segment. The price ratio is good for the quality and the range of services you get.
