The first impression of the DaheimLader SmartPRO from DaheimLaden is very positive. The product was very well packaged and protected, with no scratches or damage. The packaging was appropriate for the size of the product, so that unnecessary packaging waste was avoided. The charging station and all accessories were wrapped in plastic film to protect the product. The operating instructions and the app download description are very detailed, include pictures and are written in German. This ensures user-friendly handling . The manufacturer has taken care to provide clear and comprehensive instructions that make it easy to set up and use the product. However, should any problems arise, the manufacturer’s support team will be on hand quickly.

The DaheimLader SmartPRO from DaheimLaden impresses at first glance. The metal housing and tempered glass front cover give the product an elegant and high-quality look. The wallbox has an integrated fault protection sensor for protection and protects in the range from -30 degrees to 55 degrees outside temperature. The workmanship is of high quality, resulting in a stable construction and durability. The charging station can be installedboth indoors and outdoors. The cable is available in two different lengths (5m and 7.5m) and either as a permanently connected or connectable mobile charging cable. The manufacturer is a German company with comprehensive support.

In the test, the DaheimLader SmartPRO impressed with its reliable charging performance and error-free communication between the wallbox and electric vehicle. The system works stably and efficiently even during intensive use. The robust workmanship of the housing and the high-quality cabling were also impressive. However, there were some minor weaknesses in the test: the operating instructions supplied were out of date and the older “DaheimLaden” app was no longer functional. With the latest “Click2Charge” app, on the other hand, all processes worked smoothly, including schedules and monitoring of charging times.
A critical point to note is the standby power consumption, which is 3.5-3.7 watts. Problems were initially encountered when using the cloud and NFC functions, but these were quickly resolved after contacting the manufacturer. The offline functions worked just as smoothly as the transition to online operation after troubleshooting.
The DaheimLader SmartPRO largely delivers what it promises and offers a well thought-out, powerful and future-proof charging solution.
