*The maximum score is 100 points
The HOPINGA drill bit arrived in a standard cardboard box . The box was undamaged and easy to open without tools. The box contained the packaging of the diamond drill bit as well as filling material to protect the product during shipping. To protect the product from dust and dirt, the drill bit was also packed in a sturdy plastic box.
The packaging is largely recyclable, but the plastic box and the plastic film protecting the drill adapter and drill bit are not recyclable.
In any case, the packaging makes a good first impression.

Information on use and the area of application can be found on the instructions and the product packaging. Contact information can also be found on the box and the instructions. Unfortunately , there is no customer hotline that customers can call if they have any problems.
Overall, the type of product packaging is very positive and very customer-friendly.

Product processing and appearance
ℹ️ Before we start the practical test, we take a close look at the product processing. How high quality are the materials used? Is the look and feel satisfactory?

Visual appearance | Very simple, modern design | 100 points |
Processing | High-quality workmanship of all individual parts | 97 points |
Stability | Very stable, well-balanced handling | 98 points |
Sustainability of the product | No information on the sustainability of the raw materials used – but reference to high-quality materials and long service life | 73 points |

The drill bit is made of a special hardened steel with diamonds in the tip, which are particularly suitable for drilling holes. To insert the core bits into a drill, it is necessary to first screw the SDS Plus adapter firmly into the core bit and then connect it to the drill.
It is particularly important to switch off the impact drilling function (if present), as this could damage the drill bit.
If centring is required when drilling, the centring drill can be used.
The centring drill, SDS Plus adapter and drill bit all make a very high-quality, stable impression.
The manufacturer supplies a plastic box for storage so that you can enjoy using the drill bit for as long as possible.

Easy disassembly of the drill bit and accessories | Removal of centre drill very difficult, but removal of drill bit easy | 83 points |
Easy to use, even by a layperson | Easy and simple operation for laypersons | 95 points |
Total | 93 points |
*The maximum score is 100 points
We really enjoyed working with the diamond core bit from HOPINGA . It was very easy for a layman to drill a hole and the desired hole was made very cleanly and without any major residue. The effort required depends on the material, of course, but is very manageable.
Fitting to a suitable drill is very simple and doesn’t really require much instruction. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for disassembly, as this is very difficult and requires a lot of force, especially when removing the centre drill.
Our conclusion from the practical test: easy handling and a very successful result.
