Test result preview
The Dimono® lunch box is a practical helper in everyday life. The storage box is suitable for almost all contents thanks to the manufacturer’s various sizes and a sealed closure system. In our practical test, we were able to show that both the clip lock and the box itself are resistant and robust thanks to the stainless steel construction, which emphasises the additional safety and reliability of the product. The product also shines when it comes to cleaning, as the box is dishwasher-safe . The only negative aspect we noticed in our test was that fingerprints and stains quickly become visible on the smooth steel surface. However, this flaw does not detract too much from the overall very good quality of the product.
Advantages
- Leak-proof
- Neutral flavour

Packaging and contents
Here we take a closer look at packaging. Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important factor. In addition, adequate protection of the product must of course also be guaranteed. Are the contents of the packaging complete and does the manufacturer make it as easy as possible for me to use the product straight away?

The lunch box from Dimono® arrives in a small, brown cardboard box. It is thematically printed with various drawings of food. Inside is the tin wrapped in plastic film, a cotton bag and an additional seal for the closure mechanism. The cardboard and plastic guarantee optimum product protection, even if the film could be replaced by a more sustainable alternative if necessary. At the same time, the packaging is compact and does not cause any unnecessary waste. As the product is self-explanatory to use, the manufacturer rightly dispenses with instructions for use.

When you first touch the Dimono® lunch box, its simple yet appealing design is impressive. The matt, shiny surface of the stainless steel is visually neutral and therefore fits into any situation. At the same time, however, the product also shines with its high-quality workmanship and very robust and resistant construction. There are no weak points or defects to be found on either the surfaces or the swing stopper, giving us a very good first impression of the product.
In terms of sustainability, the manufacturer unfortunately does not provide any relevant information on the manufacture of the product, any certifications or other offsetting measures. However, thanks to the 30-day money-back guarantee, a high level of customer satisfaction can be ensured. The materials used and the product design also speak in favour of sustainable and long-lasting use.

The lunch box from Dimono® also keeps the manufacturer’s promises in the practical test. The test shows that both water and oil are reliably sealed inside the box without leaking. Overall, the box appears to be of high quality and well made. The lunch box is resistant and robust, so that dropping and pressure experiments do not result in any damage or deformation. The lid also remains intact and, above all, closed, which emphasises the reliability of the box and its overall high level of safety. At the same time, it is pleasantly easy to use, even when a high contact pressure is generated by the clips.
The lunch box also performed well in the taste and odour test. While chemical odours and residues often make for an unpleasant user experience with other products, this product delivers exactly the opposite. There is no noticeable transfer of odours or flavours .
With regard to cleaning the jar, it should first be emphasised that the product can be cleaned in the dishwasher, which underlines its suitability for everyday use. The only negative thing we noticed in our test was that fingerprints and dirt are very easy to see on the lid and the jar due to the very smooth and shiny surface – a small blemish on an overall successful and reliable product.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.6 stars. In some cases, the included jute bag is criticised as being superfluous. On the other hand, the quality and high stability of the clip fasteners are emphasised positively. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the product closes 100% watertight and is very solidly made. The criticism from consumers may apply in individual cases, but we consider the supplied bag to be a nice accessory for an overall coherent and good product.
Prices of up to €31.99 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very affordable products are available from as little as €11.99 . The lunch box from Dimono® is therefore currently in the lower price segment with a price of €12.95. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio is very good.
