The draught excluder from LYVANAS made a good impression in our test. There are two draught excluders in a set, whereby the consumer can choose between the color variants black and white. The item basically measures 88 x 10.5 x 3 cm, whereby the length can be cut or shortened to fit the door. The product also fits standardized doors with a width of 4 cm. It is particularly noteworthy that each draught excluder consists of a high-quality, washable cover. However, the consumer must insert four foam rollers inside this cover before use. The draught excluder ensures that air can no longer flow under the door on both sides, thus stopping the draught. Nevertheless, the product produces grinding noises during use.

Sustainability Packaging | Plastic packaging with adhesive tape on the corners and around foam rolls | 45 points |

Miscellaneous | Packaging box was slightly damaged | 83 points |
Total | 73 points |
*The maximum score is 100 points
After a very short delivery time, the draught excluder was delivered in a slightly damaged cardboard box. Inside this box, the product was wrapped in a plastic bag, with the corners of the plastic bag additionally taped. There is also a sticker on this bag with a warning to minimize a potential choking hazard. However, there are no holes in the plastic packaging to minimize the risk of suffocation. In addition, the cover of the draught excluder has a removable label with the material composition and the appropriate care instructions. The accompanying foam rolls are wrapped in adhesive tape. In summary, the product is well protected, but the use of adhesive tape is superfluous as it neither contributes to product protection nor is it sustainable.

After taking a closer look at the draught excluder, we put it through a practical test. Before we could start our test, the foam rolls were inserted into the cover and cut to fit the size of the door. It was then very easy to slide the draught excluder under the door. During use, the product scored particularly well in terms of its ability to stop draughts underneath the door. However, we were unable to detect any noise reduction or odor control in our test. We also noticed that the draught excluder makes grinding noises and that the foam rollers easily slip out of the cover after prolonged use. Unfortunately, the product is not suitable for light door thresholds as it cannot overcome them.
