The Dreamzie dog blanket, measuring 80 × 100 cm, is designed to serve as a protective and resting surface for pets. According to the manufacturer , the blanket is waterproof, soft, and reversible, and can be used on sofas, beds, or car seats, as well as a resting surface for travel.
The blanket features two differently designed sides: a soft flannel side and a Sherpa-material surface. According to the manufacturer, there is a water-repellent layer between the two sides designed to prevent liquids from seeping through.
Priced at €8.49, the Dreamzie dog blanket falls into the lower price range. In our hands-on test, we examined, in particular , the craftsmanship, comfort, water resistance, cleaning, and ease of use. We also tested how well the blanket repels liquids and how effectively it serves as a protective pad in everyday use.

The Dreamzie dog blanket was delivered in double plastic packaging, with the inner packaging designed as a vacuum bag. This made the package compact. Upon unpacking, no visible damage or dirt caused by shipping was found on the blanket.
From a sustainability perspective, the relatively high plastic content of the packaging stands out. Packaging with a lower plastic content would be preferable here.
After opening, the blanket unfolded quickly and was ready for use without any further preparation. The washing and care instructions were printed on a small card attached to the blanket with a ribbon. This gave the product a neat and appealing appearance upon unpacking.
No separate instruction manual was included. Using the dog blanket is self-explanatory, and the most important care instructions are clearly stated. The package contents were complete, and the blanket was in perfect condition upon unpacking.

The first thing you notice when touching the Dreamzie dog blanket is its pleasantly soft surface. The design is simple and understated. For our test , we received the beige version in the size 80 × 100 cm. According to the manufacturer, the blanket is available in four colors and seven sizes, ranging from S to XXXXL.
Upon initial inspection, the workmanship made a neat and solid impression. No loose threads, open seams, or other noticeable manufacturing defects were visible. The edges were neatly finished, and both sides felt soft to the touch. Thanks to its differently textured surfaces, the blanket features a smooth flannel side and a fluffy Sherpa side.
The combination of materials felt durable upon first contact. Whether the blanket can withstand the demands of everyday use and how well the water resistance claimed by the manufacturer holds up was examined in more detail in the subsequent practical test.
According to the manufacturer, the dog blanket is certified under the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. We did not have any further information regarding the sustainability of the materials used or the manufacturing process. The blanket is washable and reusable.

In the practical test, the Dreamzie dog blanket demonstrated very good water resistance. For the test, the blanket was spread out and exposed to varying amounts of water. No liquid penetrated the blanket, so the surface underneath remained dry throughout the test. The water resistance specified by the manufacturer was thus confirmed in our testing.
Cleaning also proved to be straightforward. After the water test and further use, the blanket was washed in the washing machine at 30 °C. Afterward, no noticeable changes in shape were observed, and the surfaces continued to feel soft.
In the tear resistance test, the blanket withstood pulling, crumpling, and the usual wear and tear during the test well. When subjected to targeted pressure with very sharp objects, the softer surface in particular proved to be more sensitive. Under normal conditions of use, however, no damage was observed.
When used on furniture, the blanket was easy to lay out and use as a protective pad. One minor criticism is the lack of fastening options. Loops or other attachment points could help keep the blanket better secured in place, for example, on a sofa or car seat.
In terms of comfort, the blanket felt soft and pleasant. In practical use, the dog immediately accepted it as a place to lie down.
Particularly positive aspects included its water resistance, ease of cleaning, and soft surfaces. There is room for improvement, especially regarding the lack of securing options.
