The fly screen from Mückenmeister is a practical and reliable solution for anyone who wants to leave their balcony door open without annoying insect visitors. Installing the fly screen is easy and can be done by yourself. Installation instructions are included as both a picture and a video. The very narrow mesh pattern prevents insects from slipping through, so that insect protection is guaranteed. If installed correctly in accordance with the installation instructions, the insect screen holds very firmly so that it can be used like a door without any problems. There are no signs of the adhesive strips peeling off. However, it should be noted that the insect screen cannot be shortened or adjusted.

The fly screen is supplied in a sturdy cardboard box. It contains the black fly screen, which is neatly folded and packed without damage. The adhesive strips are shrink-wrapped in film and wrapped with a rubber band to save space and avoid unnecessary packaging waste. Additional plastic nails, which are required for additional fastening of the fly screen, are also supplied well protected in a cardboard box. Assembly instructions with an additional QR code are included if video instructions are required.

The workmanship of the fly screen is flawless. There are no production residues, sharp edges or sharp seam remnants that could lead to injuries or difficulties during installation. The adhesive strips are protected with a layer of paper so that they are fully protected during transport and retain their adhesive strength. The fastening seams at the edges are very fine and are not noticeable in everyday use. No irregularities in the grid or inaccuracies are visible after assembly. The magnets that hold the two individual parts of the fly screen together are also invisible from the outside and can only be felt when touched.

In the practical test, we first checked the ease of assembly. This was possible without any problems and was also very easy and effortless to understand thanks to the video instructions. All steps could be carried out without additional tools. Thanks to the paper protection on the adhesive strips, there is no soiling and no loss of adhesive strength, so that they sit very firmly after installation and hold the weight of the fly screen without any problems. Re-installation after gluing is also possible without any problems. When installed correctly, the fly screen can be opened and closed without any problems, it also closes by itself in a very structured manner and holds very well thanks to the magnets. The mesh fabric is also very permeable to air, allowing gusts of wind to pass through easily. Thanks to the excellent workmanship, there are no safety concerns at the edges, so it is also safe for small children, babies or pets.
