When unpacking the G-Plug RG6 coaxial cable, the simple but functional packaging was immediately noticeable. The product was delivered in a pure plastic sleeve without an outer box – a clear indication that unnecessary packaging waste was deliberately avoided here. The scope of delivery is complete and, in addition to the shielded RG6 cable, also includes the necessary compression plugs and an additional extension connector. Instructions for use are not included, which is generally acceptable for a technically simple product. Nevertheless, a brief pictorial guide would have been helpful, especially for technically inexperienced users. From the point of view of Prüfengel GmbH, the product makes a solid and well thought-out initial impression, whereby the sustainable choice of packaging is to be rated positively.

The G-Plug RG6 coaxial cable impressed us in the test with its very good workmanship and simple, functional design. The surface of the cable has a high-quality appearance, the plug connections are cleanly finished and stable. The use of robust materials, which give the cable a high level of stability and resilience, is particularly striking. Even though the manufacturer has not provided any specific information on the sustainability of the materials used, the choice of materials indicates a long service life. The product feels good in the hand and conveys a feeling of reliability and quality from the very first contact. In the practical test, the G-Plug RG6 coaxial cable was largely able to fulfil the performance promised by the manufacturer. In the signal transmission test, the cable showed a flawless picture and sound experience without interference on all tested channels. The cable also remained dimensionally stable and free of visible cracks in the flexibility test despite intensive bending stress. The plug connections were tight in almost all tested sockets, only in one case a slight wobble was detected, but this did not impair the signal quality. The connection remained stable and secure even under tensile load and when the connected device was moved. To summarise: The product delivers what it promises – the G-Plug RG6 coaxial cable is characterised by a reliable connection, high processing quality and versatile application possibilities.
