We really enjoyed testing the GREEN CAMP gas stove. The portable gas stove from GREEN CAMP is a great companion for traveling, camping or as an emergency stove in the event of a power cut. With this equipment, you can cook independently of electricity and without an additional gas cylinder, saving additional weight and space.
The gas stove is operated with a butane gas cartridge, which is not included in the set.
Pots and pans with a diameterof up to 18 cm are suitable for this gas stove.

The gas stove from GREEN CAMP arrived in the typical shipping box. The box was undamaged and well sealed with adhesive tape. Excess storage space in the outer box was filled with paper. The product was fully protected in this case and was therefore inperfect condition.
The box contained the case with an attractive paper banderole and the gas stove, which was again packed in a plastic sleeve . This might not have been absolutely necessary , but it protects against dirt and scratches.
The packaging is partly recyclable. Unfortunately, the plastic bag is not recyclable, but the cardboard boxes and the filling material are.
Overall, the portable gas stove from GREEN CAMP makes a very good impression. The gas stove was not damaged and the package was in good condition.

In addition to the gas stove, the transport case contains the operating instructions and the EU Declaration of Conformity. A gas cartridge is not included, but can be ordered for an additional charge.
Unfortunately, there is no exact description of the suitable gas cartridges in the operating instructions.
The address and contact information is given in full on the back of the instructions for use. The product warnings can be found on the banderole and on the gas stove itself.
The instructions for use are written clearly and in detail in German and English and should leave no questions unanswered.
All in all, this is an exceptionally well thought-out and customer-friendly way of shipping a product.

Butane gas cylinder used
The camping gas stove is made of double-coated aluminum and is therefore very robust against deformation. Pots up to 18 cm in diameter can easily be used for cooking with this product. Thanks to an automatic safety device, the gas cartridge is firmly and securely locked in place and cannot come loose on its own. In addition, the piezo ignition means that no lighter or electricity is required to start the cooking process. The cartridge can be inserted easily and safely without tools, and the gas cartridge can be changed quickly and easily.
The product is compatible with all standard butane gas cartridges, but unfortunately these are not included in the scope of delivery and must be ordered separately.
The gas stove is supplied in an ABS plastic case and is therefore very easy to transport and store.

Setting up and preparing the portable gas stove is very quick. The gas cartridge must then be inserted. The description of the suitable gas cartridge always refers to a 227 g butane gas cartridge. It is not so easy for beginners to get the right cartridge.
Inserting the gas cartridge is explained in the operating instructions, which is quick and easy. Once the gas cartridge is inserted, you can start cooking.
The built-in piezo ignition is activated by turning the control knob anticlockwise. Ignition is reliable and quick.
The flame of the gas stove is ring-shaped and very even. The color of the flame is blue, no soot formation can be seen.
In our test, the gas hob only needed just under four minutes to bring a small pot with half a liter of cold water to the boil. With a maximum heat output of 2.2 kW, even large quantities can be heated quickly. The heat output can be reduced using the rotary control.
A windbreakwould be nice, especially for outdoor use, to protect the flame.
There are no traces of soot on the underside of the pot after use. The metal of the gas stove is still hot, but cools down quickly.
The gas stove can now be cleaned as required and then packed back into the case. This is made of ABS plastic and is perfectly tailored to the gas stove. However, the material is very thin, which makes the case flexible .
This is a small but excellent camping gas stove that is ideal for cooking “one pot meals” outdoors.
