The camping mat from the GGOV brand was delivered in a cardboard box that was well adapted to the size of the product.
After opening the product box, a plastic-wrapped bag is revealed. In terms of sustainability, it would be an advantage if an alternative to plastic packaging could be found.
Immediately after unpacking, the product had a strong artificial odour, but this quickly dissipated.
Inside the bag is the folded mattress and instructions for use. With regard to the instructions for use, it should be noted that these are written in German, English and Chinese and include detailed illustrated step-by-step instructions .

After unpacking, the appealing design of the product immediately catches the eye: the mattress has a dark blue and an olive green side, giving the product a modern look.
The surface of the product feels smooth and water-repellent , giving the impression that the mattress is actually waterproof. Due to the nature of the surface, it can be assumed that the sleeping pad is easy to clean.
The thickness of the sleeping pad gives the impression that it is a sturdy product and there are no recognisable defects in the workmanship.
The seller does not provide any further information regarding the sustainability of the product . However, due to the high-quality and robust-looking materials , it can be assumed that the product can be used in the long term.

The camping mat from the GGOV brand was subjected to an extensive practical test.
The instructions supplied with the product made it very easy to inflate . Even with small feet it is possible to operate the foot pump without any problems, inflating the mat takes approx. 2-3 minutes.
After inflation, the comfort of the mattress was tested. The product is quite comfortable to lie on and the surface has a pleasant resistance .
The sleeping pad is stable and is also characterised by very good slip resistance.
Another positive aspect is that no unpleasant noises are produced when moving. It is possible to turn silently from one side to the other without any problems.
The surface finish of this product makes it easy to clean. The smooth surface can be easily wiped with damp cloths or a cloth and soap.
In the practical test , a glass of water was poured over the product – the liquid runs off easily and the surface can be dried again immediately.
After using the mattress, it was easy to deflate and fold the product back into its compact little format, which makes it very convenient and practical to transport on camping holidays.
Overall, it is a well-designed and high-quality product that is ideal for camping .
