About Us

Prüfengel offers authentic consumer tests in which real users share their experiences with products. Our tests are based on practical applications in everyday life and reflect the opinions of consumers. As we focus on consumer tests, we do not carry out any material, long-term or laboratory tests. The tests are carried out by 1-2 independent consumers over a period of 7-14 days. The exact test conditions can be viewed in the test plan of the respective test report – click here to go directly to the test plan.

Manufacturers provide the tested products free of charge. We charge a one-off test fee for carrying out the tests. In addition, manufacturers pay an annual licence fee for the use of the Prüfengel seal. We also receive a commission for linking to manufacturers’ websites. These remunerations have no influence on our test results or ratings.

The GIYIM children’s helmet is a safe and comfortable companion for little adventurers on two wheels. Thanks to its robust ABS shell and shock-absorbing inner layer, it offers optimum protection in the event of falls and accidents. The helmet is CE-certified and therefore complies with the most important European safety standards. A practical adjustment wheel allows it to be customised to the child’s head, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit. The strategically placed ventilation openings ensure pleasant air circulation and prevent excessive sweating. Although the helmet has no reflectors, the cheerful design and bright colours make the GIYIM children’s helmet a stylish accessory for any child.

The GIYIM children’s helmet makes a good impression as soon as it is unpacked. It is delivered in a sturdy cardboard box that protects the product sufficiently from external influences. The helmet is also wrapped in plastic film. The packaging is complete and, in addition to the helmet, contains detailed instructions for use in English. The careful packaging ensures that the helmet arrives undamaged and thus guarantees the quality of the product right from the start.

The GIYIM children’s helmet impresses at first glance with its colourful and child-friendly design. The overall finish of the helmet is high quality with a robust ABS shell and neatly finished edges. However, a slight chemical odour is initially noticeable, which soon dissipates after unpacking. Although the materials used are not sustainable, they are characterised by resilience and robustness, which speaks for a long service life of the helmet. The stable construction and precisely assembled components contribute to safety and reliability. The design is well thought-out and appealing, making the GIYIM children’s helmet not only functional but also visually appealing.

The GIYIM children’s helmet delivers what the manufacturer promises. The fit is very good, although the helmet still seems a little large for small children under the age of 4 and the straps may not be able to be optimally adjusted for comfort. Overall, the helmet sits comfortably without pinching and is very comfortable to wear, even on longer rides. The headband system is easy to adjust and remains firmly in position even after adjustment, so that the helmet always sits firmly and securely on the head.

The bright colour of the helmet ensures good visibility in road traffic, but there are no reflectors, which limits safety in poor light conditions. The helmet is also impressive when it comes to cleaning and care: the smooth surface is easy to wipe clean, meaning that the helmet is quickly clean again after every use. The foam insert can also be removed for cleaning.

The helmet’s material quality and workmanship are faultless. Overall, the GIYIM children’s helmet impresses with its functionality, comfort and robust construction, making it a reliable companion for children.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.8 stars. They criticise the lack of reflectors and the use of plastic packaging. The colourful and functional design is a positive feature. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the bicycle helmet is well received by customers.

Prices of up to €214.03 are charged on the internet for equivalent products. Very cheap products are available from as little as €4.16 . With a price of €23.99, the GIYIM children’s helmet is therefore currently in the lower price segment. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio is good.
