The heating vent consists of a white, slightly translucent hollow body, which later serves as a collection container. The hollow body is semicircular at the top and rectangular at the bottom. Approximately in the middle of the semicircle emerges a red turning wheel, which is connected to a metal shaft. Hollow body and setting wheel are made of plastic, the shaft is made of brass. A widening of the hollow body towards the inside serves as a bearing for the shaft. The shaft ends in a square key suitable for radiators. In addition, it can be shifted by about half a centimeter in the axial direction. A shoulder at the level of the key prevents the shaft from falling out. On the back there is a circular opening of the hollow body, in the middle of which lies the key. The dimensions of the heating vent are very compact at 105 mm high, 65 mm wide and 35 mm deep.
At first glance, the heater bleeder appears to be inexpensively produced and functional. However, since there are no aesthetic requirements for a heater vent and it is usually put away immediately after use, this is perfectly fine. The design impresses with its simplicity. If the heating vent is to be stored for a longer period of time, it also requires little space.
