LIONHERZ® indoor playhouse

The playhouse from LIONHERZ is supplied in a sturdy, recyclable cardboard box. One positive aspect is that unnecessary packaging waste is avoided. However, plastic bags are used to store the various fasteners and poles. Alternative packaging would be desirable here.
The fabric bag supplied for the tent cover is a plus point, as it not only offers additional product protection during delivery, but can also be used for storage after dismantling.
The package components are complete apart from a missing connecting pole. As we have another version of the product for this test, we can still continue. However, the instructions for use in German are clear, illustrated and child-friendly. Additional information about the manufacturer and customer support is also provided.

Once the individual parts of the playhouse have been unpacked, a closer look should provide an initial assessment of the product.
The visual appearance of the playhouse is appealing and child-friendly, with a subtle cream/white colour scheme. The colours have a powerful effect and create a harmonious overall picture.
The workmanship is impeccable, with no recognisable defects or open seams. The fabric of the house is pleasant and soft to the touch. The poles are even and have no sharp edges.
The poles are also surprisingly stable and even despite the use of plastic. This should make assembly much easier. In terms of stability, the playhouse also fulfils expectations: The plug-in connections appear resistant and the zip fastener robust. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide any further information on the sustainability of the product. However, the high-quality workmanship and the general product design suggest a long service life and therefore a certain degree of sustainability.

The assembly of the LIONHERZ® playhouse initially proves to be uncomplicated and can be completed in less than 15 minutes. The supplied instructions for use in German are easy to understand. The detailed illustrations are particularly helpful. Disassembly and subsequent storage of the individual parts is also easy and can be done in even less time. Even when repeated several times, the individual parts remained intact and could be reassembled easily and stably.
The assembled playhouse proves to be sufficiently robust and can be moved easily when assembled, withstanding all major stresses and strains. Compared to similar products such as play tents, the pole concept gives it a considerable advantage. Only the thin mesh fabric on the windows could prove to be a weak point with prolonged use . A more solid seam might be appropriate here.
In terms of safety , the playhouse performs very well: all edges and surfaces are even, and the soft padding made of fabric and mat minimises the risk of injury. This is particularly important for products that are to be used by small children.
However, the product’s user-friendliness is particularly impressive. The tent encourages children between the ages of three and ten to play creatively – lovely details such as the letterbox are a great addition.
Cleaning is easy: even without an official recommendation, the fabric can easily withstand a delicate wash at 30 degrees in the washing machine. This means that stains that can naturally occur during play can be removed easily and effectively. All in all, the playhouse offers a convincing overall package for a safe and enjoyable play experience.
