Manufacturer’s product description
The KingCamp blanket sleeping bag is a multifunctional sleeping bag for outdoor use, ideal for camping, travelling and even home use. It combines the functionality of a classic sleeping bag with the option of opening it completely and using it as a blanket. The high-quality material, made of robust 190T polyester W/P Cire on the outside and soft 100% polyester on the inside, ensures comfort, while the warm filling of Comfort Loft 250g/m² makes the sleeping bag suitable for three seasons – from spring to autumn. The temperature range covers comfort: 12°C, limit: 7°C and extreme: -3°C, complemented by features such as a drawstring, thermal collar and double zips (left and right) that quickly transform it into a double sleeping bag. With a small pack size of 36 × 18 cm, a size of 220 (190+30) x 75 cm and a weight of only 1.4 kilograms, it is easy to transport.
In addition to its multifunctionality, otheradvantages include its water repellency and freedom of movement for the feet thanks to the lower zip.
However, a machine-washable option would have been desirable, as the manufacturer only recommends manual cleaning.
Overall, the sleeping bag impresses with its reliability and versatility for price-conscious users.

At Testengel GmbH, we thoroughly examined the KingCamp ceiling sleeping bag for its first impression, starting with the packaging. The product reaches the consumer in a simple but effective plastic cover that provides adequate protection against transport damage. In addition, the sleeping bag itself is stored in its own protective cover, which is equipped with practical lashing straps to ensure safe storage. The packaging takes a positive approach to sustainability: unnecessary packaging waste has been deliberately avoided, and the plastic film used primarily serves to protect the sleeping bag without adding superfluous elements. This minimises waste and underlines an environmentally conscious approach that we at Prüfengel GmbH appreciate. The package contents are complete – apart from the sleeping bag and its cover, there are no missing parts, which makes it easy to use right from the start. The enclosed instructions for use are available in several languages, including German and English, and provide clear information on care, use and warnings, such as the recommendation for manual cleaning. Overall, the packaging conveys professionalism and functionality without excessive embellishment and is ideal for end consumers who value practicality. This first contact strengthens confidence in the KingCamp brand and makes it easy to start using the product.

When tested by Prüfengel GmbH, the KingCamp blanket sleeping bag makes a solid impression in terms of workmanship and appearance right from the first handling. Visually, it presents itself in a simple, outdoor-typical design, which is enhanced by an attractive inlay – such as colour-coordinated seams and a matt surface. This appearance is functional and timeless. The workmanship is very good overall: we couldn’t find any loose threads, loose seams or other defects, which indicates careful production. The zips and the drawstring on the thermal collar in particular work smoothly and feel robust. In terms of stability, the seams and fasteners impress with their strength – they withstand pull tests and promise durability, even with frequent use. Another plus point is the sustainability of the product: the manufacturer states that the high-quality materials, such as the 190T polyester W/P Cire and the Comfort Loft 250g/m² filling, come from recycled sources, making the sleeping bag more environmentally friendly. This meets modern standards and is viewed positively by us at Prüfengel GmbH, as it promotes resource conservation. Overall, the sleeping bag feels high-quality, with a soft inner lining that provides comfort, making it ideal for everyday use when travelling or at home.

In comprehensive practical testing by Prüfengel GmbH, the KingCamp blanket sleeping bag proved to be a reliable product that largely lives up to the manufacturer’s advertising promises. In terms of heat retention, it is characterised by only a slight drop in temperature, which confirms its good insulation performance – in line with the specified temperature range of comfort: 12°C to extreme: -3°C. This makes it ideal for three seasons, with the warm filling and thermal collar providing effective protection against the cold. In terms of water repellency, there were minimal signs of moisture on the surface after simulated rain tests, but the interior remained completely dry. The transportability is impressive thanks to its normal volume, which can be significantly reduced with the lashing straps on the pack bag, making the small pack size of 36 × 18 cm even more practical. The weight corresponds exactly to the manufacturer’s specifications of 1.4 kilograms, which underlines its lightweight nature and makes the sleeping bag suitable for camping and travelling. In terms of cleaning and ease of care, the recommended manual cleaning left slight, barely noticeable residues without damaging the material – a minor drawback that does not affect durability. Overall, the sleeping bag delivers on its promises, offers foot freedom thanks to the lower zip and proves to be a multifunctional all-rounder for outdoor enthusiasts.
