TheNORJAN Norwegian knitted hoodie from Nebulus made a good overall impression in our test. The hoodie is two-tone and has a wintry pattern that runs all the way round. In addition to the comfortable inner material, it has a high collar. It is available in three different color combinations for women and four for men. There is also a choice of five different sizes. For our test, we received the knitted hoodie in white and black and in sizes S for women and M for men. The knitted sweater is a little too big for our tester, but he usually needs size S as well. Nevertheless, the knitted sweater fits very comfortably and keeps you warm. Unfortunately, the neckline is very narrow and the hood is also far too big. It reaches far over the eyes and blocks the view. The material quality and workmanship, on the other hand, are impressive, as is the knittedhoodie in the practical test. This shows that the knitted hoodie fits comfortably for a long time and the fabric feels very pleasant on the skin.

ℹ️ Here we take a closer look at packaging. Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important factor. In addition, adequate protection of the product must of course also be ensured.

In our case, the NORJAN knitted hoodie from Nebulus was delivered together with other products in a sturdy shipping box. The shipping box was undamaged and could be easily opened with a knife or scissors. In addition, the shipping box was optimally sized as it was filled to the top. In this way, the environment is protected: not only is the material requirement for the shipping carton minimized, but the small space requirement of the package also ensures better utilization of the transport vehicles. The product packaging consists of a transparent plastic bag in which the knitted hoodie was packed. The film is tear-resistant and cannot be stretched. The Nebulus logo is printed on the front of the packaging. There is also a sticker with a barcode and the product name and size of the hoodie. There are warnings on the back that warn of a choking hazard. The warnings are written in four languages, including German and English. The top of the bag has an opening that is sealed with an adhesive strip. The adhesive tape is reusable. So if the hoodie is to be returned, the bag can be resealed with the existing adhesive strip. There is another layer of thin paper between the individual layers of the folded hoodie to prevent the fabric of the hoodie from rubbing against each other during transportation. The NORJAN knitted hoodie is very well protected from damage and soiling by the shipping box and the plastic bag.

ℹ️ Most people’s first impression after unpacking is immediately memorable. Are the contents of the package complete and does the manufacturer make it as easy as possible for me to use the product straight away?

As expected, the knitted hoody comes without any other accessories and is also supplied without any. On the label there is a cardboard disc the size of a beer mat, which is printed on both sides with the Nebulus logo in high gloss, which can also be found on the product packaging.
There are no instructions for use, but they are not necessary. Washing instructions can be found on a label on the inside of the hoodie, where they are illustrated with the familiar symbols. There is also information on the material composition, size and product name.

ℹ️ Before we start the practical test, we take a close look at the product processing. How high quality are the materials used? Is the look and feel satisfactory?

For our test, we received the NORJAN knitted hoodie for men and women in black. The colors red and white are also available. There is also a navy blue option for men. The knitted hoodie is made from the same fabric inside and out. It is knitted from soft, thick threads. The patterns are not stitched on, but are created by the different colors of the wool threads. The knitted sweaters are unlined and have a collar that is higher on the back than on the front.

In addition to this collar, the knitted sweater also has a hood. There is an elasticated section at the bottom, collar and sleeve ends, which ensures that the sweater fits snugly in the corresponding areas.

The majority of the knitted hoodie is black. Only the shoulder area and the elasticated areas on the collar, sleeves and underside are knitted in white. As a color contrast to the basic colors white and black, the hoodie features a pattern of triangles, diamonds, snowflake symbols, moose and Norwegian flags that runs around the upper body. The black, white and blue color combination gives the knitted hoodie a wintery look.

There is also a patch with Nebulus lettering on a Norway flag on the left underside. This additional contrast to the basic colors and the all-round pattern gives the knitted hoodie a special touch.

The single-layer fabric of the knitted hoodie is thick, stretchy and tear-resistant. According to the label, the outer fabric is made entirely of polyacrylic. The seams are even and neat and hardly noticeable from the outside. There are hardly any protruding threads and, if there are any, they are only very short. Apart from this, there are no manufacturing faults on the NORJAN knitted hoodie. The knitted hoodie has the typical pleasant smell of brand-new clothing.

Overall, the NORJAN Norwegian knitted hoodie with its black and white basic colors, Nebulus patches and all-round pattern is a fashionable garment with an appealing winter design. The quality of the fabrics and seams used and the overall finish are also impressive.

The NORJAN Norwegian knitted hoodie is sold in various sizes from S to XXL for women and from S to XXXL for men. In our test, we received the knitted hoodie in size S for women and size M for men. Although the knitted hoodie is a little too big for our slim tester, who is 170 cm tall, it still fits comfortably. The hoodie fits loosely on the body, which unfortunately makes it look a little baggy. However, we assume that if you were a few centimetres taller, the hoodie would be less baggy. The neckline for the head is also very narrow. Although the patch on the left side is noticeable, it is not unpleasantly conspicuous. After just a few seconds, you get used to it and no longer feel it. Unfortunately, the hood is far too big for our testers. It reaches deep over the eyes, preventing a full view. When the hood is pushed back to clear the field of vision, it slips off the back of the head after a few moments.

On the other hand, the fabric on the inside feels very comfortable and soft, even against bare skin. As you would expect from the thick fabric, the knitted hoodie keeps you nice and warm even in the cold. The stretchy areas on the underside, collar and sleeves ensure that the openings of the knitted hoodie are flush with the body. This prevents cold from penetrating the inside of the hoodie. The hood in particular fulfills this function: when the hood is pulled up, at least the back of the head is covered. This also effectively protects the head from the cold and the high collar also fulfills this function. However, the neck is only effectively protected from the cold at the nape of the neck. Of course, the thick fabric used makes the biggest contribution to keeping warm. As the knitted hoodie cannot be opened, it is only suitable for very low temperatures or people who get cold easily.

In the last part of our practical test, we wash the hoodie according to the manufacturer’s instructions. For the NORJAN knitted hoodie, this means an easy-care wash cycle at 30 °C, without drying and ironing at 110 °C, which corresponds to the usual specifications for comparable garments. After washing, the garment smells of the detergent used, but otherwise there is no noticeable difference. The knitted hoodie survives the washing process without damage or fading.

Overall, the NORJAN knitted hoodie impressed us in our practical test. It fits comfortably, feels pleasant against the skin, keeps you warm and can withstand washing without any problems. However, we do see room for improvement in the hood and head opening.

ℹ️ Finally, we look at how the product compares to the competition. Can it keep up with the competition in terms of price and quality? Would we generally recommend buying it? We also examine consumer ratings and check whether the critical and positive reviews are actually justified.

On the Amazon platform, consumers have given the product an average rating of 4.1 (women) and 4.4 (men) stars. The neck opening is often criticized for being too tight and the hood looks baggy. Many customers like the quality, comfort and how warm the knitted hoodie keeps them. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the quality and comfort were good. The sweater also keeps you very, very warm. However, we can also confirm that the head opening is very tight and the hood is too big for us.

Prices of up to €289 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products, with most knitted sweaters in winter designs costing up to €70.
