The Basic XXL slatted frame from Coemo demonstrated a robust and stable construction in our test. With a load capacity of up to 200 kg, it is also suitable for people with a higher body weight and offers solid support. The slatted frame has seven lying zones for precise adjustment to the body shape. This relieves pressure on the shoulders, pelvis and calf area and prevents back pain. The individual firmness can be adjusted in five stages to suit personal preferences and the body. The tools required for assembly are included, although the use of a cordless screwdriver proved to be advantageous in our test. Assembly is best carried out by two people, as fixing the slats requires strength. The slatted frame has a length of 1.96 m and rests mainly on the sides, which can lead to movement and possibly noise on some bed frames. It is therefore recommended that you check the dimensions of the bed frame before purchasing.

The packaging of the slatted frame leaves a positive impression. The shipping carton is made exclusively from recyclable and renewable materials such as paper and cardboard, which helps to minimize waste and avoids unnecessary packaging material. The edges are protected by anadditional layer of cardboard. As some of the product parts move, additional protection on the inside would be desirable to ensure that the wooden parts survive transportation undamaged. The use of plastic film for the screws inside the packaging protects the product, but could be replaced by the use of recyclable materials.
The contents of the packaging are complete. The assembly instructions are written in German and are easy to understand, which makes assembly easier.

After assembly, the slatted frame impresses at first glance. Visually, the product blends well into various living environments and has an attractive design. The workmanship is precise and the individual parts are carefully coordinated. The surfaces of the slatted frame are neatly finished, the holes are precisely pre-drilled without protruding wood or sharp edges. In terms of stability, the slatted frame impresses with its robust construction and high load capacity of up to 200 kg. There is no specific information on durability, but the materials used and the high-quality workmanship suggest good durability. This could indicate a long service life and therefore sustainable use of the product.

In our test, the XXL slatted frame proved to be a solid product to assemble, although the use of a cordless screwdriver and possibly a second person is recommended to make the process easier. The detailed assembly instructions guide you through the assembly process, but require a little patience, especially when attaching the slats. The seven reclining zones of the slatted frame provide optimum relief for the shoulders, pelvis and calves, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Thanks to the five-stage hardness grading, the slatted frame can be adjusted precisely to personal preferences and your own body type, allowing for individual comfort and a pleasant sleeping position. The slatted frame was particularly impressive in the test due to its impressive load capacity of up to 200 kg and offers stable and robust support even with a higher body weight or several people in the bed. The continuous longitudinal slats and the duo caps made of high-quality rubber that cover the slats also contribute to the stability. Thanks to high-quality materials and precise workmanship, the XXL slatted frame is noiseless. However, it should be noted that the slatted frame must be matched to the bed frame, as with a length of 1.96 m it does not fit into every bed frame.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.3 stars. In some cases, the complicated assembly and sometimes incomplete delivery are criticized. On the other hand, the stability and lying properties are positively emphasized. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that assembly is somewhat time-consuming and is best done by two people using a cordless screwdriver. The delivery was complete and the sleeping quality and stability of the slatted frame were convincing.
