Packaging and contents
Here we take a closer look at packaging. Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important factor. In addition, adequate protection of the product must of course also be guaranteed. Are the contents of the packaging complete and does the manufacturer make it as easy as possible for me to use the product straight away?

The leather balm is supplied in a sturdy cardboard box and is wrapped again in brown packing paper inside the box. The screw cap is screwed tightly onto the container, which is easy to push in. There is also a plastic lid, which must be carefully removed without applying force to the container. The product has arrived complete and unopened despite the easily pushed-in container , so that the packaging fully protects the product overall.

The container is made of thin but very flexible plastic. This makes it easy to squeeze, but very practical to use. The balm can be easily picked up with a cloth and applied to the leather product without getting your fingers dirty. The workmanship of the container is clean, fibre-free and flawless all round. The screw cap can easily be used several times without being damaged.

In the practical test, black leather low shoes were treated and tested with the leather balm. Firstly, the very simple and completely adequate instructions for use were read. The balm was then carefully applied to the right shoe with a cloth, which was possible without any problems or smearing. The application time was well below the estimated 15 minutes. The balm could be completely polished after approx. 3 minutes , which was easily and very well possible with a microfibre cloth. Light scratches on the toe of the shoe could also be completely removed with the balm, so that the shoes looked like new.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.2 stars. In some cases, they criticise the fact that it has to be applied more often than expected. On the other hand, the easy and simple application and the high coverage are emphasised positively. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the simple and easy application of the leather balm is well received by customers. However, consumer criticism of the lack of coverage was not justified.
Prices of up to €24.95 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very cheap products are available from as little as €9.99 . The Crevive® leather balm is therefore currently in the upper price segment with a price of €22.50. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio is very good.
