The laundry basket from Lonbet cuts a good figure overall in our test. We found the laundry basket to be a practical, practical and discreet storage solution with an appealing design. Thanks to the clever product design, the hamper can be assembled and disassembled in just a few minutes. At the same time, it is robust and sturdy enough for its intended use. The washable inner bag is a plus, so that hygiene is not neglected either. The only negative aspect we noticed in our test was the bag’s suspension. Instead of the straps on large wooden knobs, a corresponding press stud variant or similar would be desirable.
Overall, however, it is a good, attractive and cleverly designed product that is a suitable addition to any household.

Are the contents of the packaging complete and does the manufacturer make it as easy as possible for me to use the product straight away?

The laundry basket from Lonbet arrives in minimalist packaging. As the hamper is foldable and does not contain any large parts, the components are wrapped and shipped in a size of just 35 cm x 45 cm x 5 cm, which is highly efficient and saves resources. Unfortunately, this also means that the outer wooden edge is not additionally protected, which might have been desirable. The use of sustainable packaging materials such as cardboard would also be an enrichment. In the case of the tested specimen, however, the wooden frame is fortunately undamaged.
The contents of the pack fully meet expectations. In addition to the outer cover and the inner bag, 4 assembly rods and clear, illustrated assembly instructions are supplied. The latter is available in five different languages. The German version unfortunately contains spelling and translation errors. Overall, however, the product makes a decent first impression.

ℹ️ Before we start the practical test, we take a close look at the workmanship of the products. How high quality are the materials used? Are the look and feel satisfactory?

A closer look at the laundry basket reveals no material defects or other flaws. The product has an attractive and modern design. During assembly, we unfortunately discovered that one of the pockets sewn into the inside for the assembly rods is approx. 10-15 cm too short. This does not reduce the functionality, as the pole is guided far enough in the short pocket to sit stably. The appearance is also only minimally impaired, as the rod is inside the basket and is also covered by the laundry bag. Nevertheless, there appears to have been a mistake in the workmanship.
The assembled product looks surprisingly stable for a laundry basket that is only held up by 4 bars.
Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide any further information on the sustainability of the product. The use of sustainable raw materials such as bamboo wood and fabric instead of ordinary plastic gives the product an appealing design, as well as the expected longevity in terms of service life.

The laundry basket performed well in the practical test, with only minor suggestions for improvement on our part.
We find the design of the hamper to be discreet, elegant and modern, so that the hamper is perceived as rather unobtrusive. The hamper is available in a total of five different colors and two different designs (one or two laundry compartments), so there should be a suitable version for almost any environment.
In our case, assembly was child’s play and was completed within a few minutes. The illustrated instructions for use were very useful at this point. Disassembly is also possible in no time at all.
With a capacity of 100 liters , the basket is a convenient size. By way of comparison, a washing machine with a 10 kg capacity has an average capacity of 70 liters. For a conventional 7-8 kg washing machine, the laundry basket can therefore hold up to two wash loads.
The basket is lightweight and therefore very easy to transport. The only point of criticism in our test, however, was the rather unfortunate choice of suspension for the inner bag. This is attached with 4 tabs to 4 large buttons on the inside, but this proves to be a very small and rather annoying solution. A solution with a press stud, for example, would make the laundry basket much more suitable for everyday use at this point.
This is particularly important because the waterproof inner bag can be flexibly removed, transported and even washed in the washing machine. This means that no compromises need to be made in terms of hygiene.

ℹ️ Finally, we examine how the product compares to the competition. Can it keep up with the competition in terms of price and quality? Would we generally recommend buying it? We also look at the consumer reviews and check whether the critical and positive reviews are actually justified.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.5 stars. One common criticism is that attaching the inner bag is complicated. Many customers like the fact that the product has an appealing design and can be assembled quickly. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the product has a modern and elegant look and that it could be assembled in just a few minutes. However, we also found fault with the fastening of the inner pocket.

Prices of up to €39.99 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very inexpensive products are available from as little as €19.99. With a price of €27.74, the Lonbet laundry basket is therefore currently in the middle price segment. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio isreasonable.
