The carpet anti-slip underlay from LUSEE offers a practical solution for keeping carpets and other textile surfaces securely in place. It is made of non-slip PVC foam with an air-permeable mesh design that increases friction and thus effectively prevents slipping. The mat is simply placed on a clean, dry floor, with the rug on top – both lie flat and remain securely in place. With a size of 140 x 200 cm, the mat offers sufficient surface area and can be easily cut to any desired shape and size thanks to the integrated grid. Whether round, square or customised – the flexible structure makes cutting to size particularly easy. The anti-slip mat is available in various formats from 50 x 80 cm to 180 x 200 cm and is therefore suitable for carpets or areas of use of different sizes. The mat is versatile: In addition to carpets, it can also be used under bed linen, bedspreads, cushions or in drawers and on window sills to securely hold textile or smaller objects in place. The thin, lightweight material is easy to care for, water-repellent and retains its shape. Hand washing is recommended for cleaning, everyday dust can be easily removed with a hoover.
Minor weaknesses were only evident in the test when exposed to moisture or on heavily dusty floors, where the adhesion briefly weakened slightly – however, this effect was completely reversible after drying or cleaning.
Overall, the anti-slip underlay impresses with its ease of use, flexible adaptability and reliable effect – a functional addition to any household with carpets or other textile surfaces.

The packaging of the anti-slip mat impressed the testers with its completely plastic-free and sustainable design. The product is packed in a sturdy cardboard box that offers sufficient protection during transport and is fully recyclable. The use of plastic or additional film was deliberately avoided – a clear advantage in terms of environmental compatibility and waste avoidance. The base is neatly folded and easy to remove. Printed instructions in several languages are included in the packaging. It contains all the relevant information on processing, cutting and caring for the underlay. The instructions are clearly laid out, easy to understand and support smooth commissioning of the product. Overall, the packaging proves to be well thought-out, functional and consistently sustainable.

At first glance, the underlay gives a well thought-out and functional overall impression. Visually, it is kept simple: The fine grid design ensures a uniform appearance and remains virtually invisible under carpets. The neutral colour scheme blends discreetly into any environment without disrupting the overall look. The workmanship is high quality. The material is soft and non-slip at the same time and can be easily cut to individual dimensions along the grid – without tearing or fraying. Despite its thin design, the mat retains its shape and lies flat and clean on the floor after being rolled out. Even when first laid, it provides a noticeable grip on smooth subfloors and reliably prevents the carpet from slipping or curling. Although there is no specific information on the sustainability of the materials, the robust processing of the PVC backing suggests a long service life, which reduces the need for frequent replacement and therefore helps to conserve resources. Overall, the mat gives a positive first impression – simple, cleanly finished and designed for practical everyday use.

In the practical test, the anti-slip mat showed a balanced performance overall in the various categories. Its versatility and ease of use were particularly favourable. The mat was easy to lay on different types of flooring such as tiles, laminate and parquet and reliably fulfilled its function of preventing the carpet from slipping on all surfaces. The cutability was also impressive: the mat could be easily cut to size along the grid using scissors or a carpet knife. Customisation is possible without any problems. When moving furniture, such as chairs or small tables, the underlay remained firmly in place and showed no signs of slipping. Moisture resistance was only slightly affected. When temporarily exposed to moisture, the underlay lost some of its adhesion, but recovered fully after drying and retained its anti-slip function. The influence of dust and dirt was also minimal. Simple cleaning with a hoover quickly restored the adhesion without any permanent restrictions.
Overall, the LUSEE anti-slip underlay showed good adaptability and practical suitability. Slight, temporary impairments caused by moisture and dust had no long-term effects on performance and were quickly remedied. It is therefore ideal for daily use on different floor types and in households with a lot of furniture traffic.
