The manicure and pedicure set from Rosaw made a very good overall impression in our test. The set consists of a high-quality storage bag with a zip and various tools for hand and foot care. This makes the set very suitable for working on toenails and fingernails. The set can also help with ingrown nails using the tools provided. Calluses can also be removed with the callus plane. The set impresses at first glance with its high quality and also lives up to this claim in the practical test. Unfortunately, the set does not come with instructions on how to use the various tools correctly.

We have looked at and tested the product in detail in a practical test. In the following, we take a closer look at the features and impressions. The product is subjected to our test procedure from the packaging, materials and quality to the range of functions and handling.

The Rosaw manicure and pedicure set was delivered in a compact and sturdy shipping box. The shipping box was sealed with adhesive tape and could be opened easily without tools. There was hardly any room for slipping inside, so no filling material was needed. The shipping box contained the set in the product packaging.
The product packaging was undamaged and in perfect condition. The product packaging was a high-quality cardboard box in an appealingly simple design with a pale rose pattern on a white background. This was shrink-wrapped in a transparent plastic film, which in our view could have been dispensed with. Like the product packaging, this could also be opened without tools, but required a little patience. Although the film offers additional protection against dust and dirt, the set is sufficiently protected by the shipping box and the product packaging alone. The manicure and pedicure set was already stowed in the storage bag, as was a small box with replacement blades for the callus plane. The storage case therefore also helps to protect the product during despatch. Inside the storage bag, in addition to the components of the set, there is also a protective film to protect the metal parts opposite from scratches and a small bag with silicate to protect against moisture. All parts of the set are undamaged and in perfect condition. This is also due to the very good product protection provided by the packaging. Apart from the plastic film, no unnecessary packaging material was used.

The set consists of a storage bag and an extensive range of nail tools that are suitable for nail care and help with ingrown nails. The tools include a file, a cuticle remover, a corner file, a nail lifter, cuticle scissors, cuticle nippers and two nail nippers of different sizes. The set also includes a callus plane with matching blades. Like the other tools, ten of the blades are in the storage bag and ten more are in the product packaging.
Unfortunately, no instructions for use are included. Although the use of many of the tools is self-explanatory, instructions for use would be particularly useful for the procedure for ingrown nails and for changing the blades of the callus plane. Although these instructions can be found on the Amazon page, they are of little help if the set is given as a gift or bought for a third party without internet access.

When closed, the storage bag is 16.5 cm long, 11 cm wide and 3 cm high. It is made of black fabric stretched over a firm surface. It is closed with a golden zip. The zip is connected to the rest of the bag with red fabric and is easy to open and close. The inside of the bag is also black. The various tools are attached to both sides of the bag with matching elastic bands. This means that each tool has its own fixed place and the set looks tidy and organised. The bag is light, sturdy and very well made.
The tools are made of polished metal, which gives the surface a very high-quality appearance. According to the manufacturer, it is stainless steel. The design of the tools is uniform and elegant. The workmanship of the tools is also very good. Although some of the tools are very delicate, such as the nail lifter, the tools are very stable and can hardly be bent.
The nail lifter and the corner file have a handle with a rough surface, which makes them less likely to slip out of the hand. The lever of the two nail nippers is also ribbed on the top to prevent slipping. The head pliers are equipped with a leaf spring that opens the pliers automatically. This allows the pliers to be easily operated with one hand. The tip of the head pliers is also protected by a plastic cap.
Overall, the set makes a very high-quality and well thought-out impression. All parts are not only attractively designed, but also very well made.

We start our practical test with the cuticle remover and cuticle scissors. The cuticle rem over has a narrow blade framed by two blunt jaws positioned next to each other. The blade of the tool is pushed over the protruding nail skin. The jaws ensure that the flap of skin is pushed onto the blade and detaches from the finger. This works well in our test, but the blade could be sharper. Excess skin can be easily removed with the cuticle scissors. Even small fingernails can be cut with the scissors almost like paper.
Next, we tested the lifter kit, which consists of the nail lifter and the corner file. The nail lifter makes it easy to lift nails or remove dirt from underneath them. The scoop-like tip is also ideal for scraping out dirt from under the nails. With the corner file, the corners of the nails can be worked on specifically thanks to the narrow rubbing surface. The tips of the narrow file are rounded so that there is no risk of injury.
The two nail nippers proved to be unusually sharp in the test. This has two effects for the user: Firstly, less force has to be used to nip off nails. Secondly, the cutting edge glides through the nail instead of cutting it off abruptly. As a result, the nail remnants are thrown less far away and the cut nails are less sharp-edged. The two different sized nail nippers are ideal for shortening fingernails and toenails. The small nipper can also be used to cut thick thumbnails and the large nipper has no problems even with hard nails on the big toe.
The head nipper is also sharp-edged. We use these to trim toenails. The cutting edge of the head nipper is slightly curved, which is particularly suitable for toenails. Thanks to a pointed, elongated corner, the head pliers can also be used to trim the corners of toenails behind the skin if required. Unfortunately, the head nippers reach their limits with thick nails on the male big toes. The pliers must be gripped firmly in order to cut the nails across the entire cutting width of the pliers. The large nail clipper had no problems here.
The final step is to test the nail file and the callus plane. Although the file feels blunt when it goes over the rough surface, nails can be ground down effectively with it. The high material strength also has a positive effect here: The file does not bend even under heavy pressure. The callus plane also does its job reliably and the callus can be easily removed. The blades can also be changed in a few simple steps. With twenty blades in the set, there are plenty of replacements.
Overall, the set lives up to the promise of its high-quality appearance in the practical test. All parts have a high-quality finish, fit well in the hand and fulfil their tasks perfectly. The nail clippers and cuticle scissors in particular impress with their sharpness.
