We begin ours field test with the cuticle remover and the cuticle scissors. The Nagelhautentferner features a narrow blade framed by two adjacent blunt bolsters. The tool is pushed with the blade over the overhanging scraps of skin on the nails. The jaws ensure that the scrap of skin is pushed onto the blade and detaches from the finger. This works well in our test, but the blade could be sharper. With the Cuticle scissors excess skin can be easily removed. Even small fingernails can be cut almost like paper with the scissors.
Next we test that lifter kit, that from the nail puller and the corner file consists. The nail lifter makes it easy to lift nails or highlight dirt underneath. The shovel-like tip is also great for scraping dirt out from under your nails. With the corner file, the corners of the nails can be worked on in a targeted manner through the narrow grating surface. The tips of the narrow file are rounded so that there is no risk of injury.
The two nail clippers turn out to be unusually sharp in the test. This has two effects for the user: On the one hand, less force has to be used to pinch off nails. On the other hand, the cutting edge slides through the nail instead of cutting it off abruptly. As a result, the clipped off nail remains are thrown less far and the cut off nails are less sharp-edged. The two differently sized nail clippers are ideal for shortening fingernails and toenails. Thick thumb nails can also be cut with the small pincers and the large pincers have no problems with hard nails on the big toe.

The high material strength also has a positive effect here: the file does not bend even under strong pressure. Also the Hornhauthobel does its job reliably and the callus can be easily removed. Changing the blade is also done in just a few simple steps. With twenty blades in the set, there is enough replacement.
