The microgel fibre pillow from Hatchka® is a pillow specially developed for children that impresses with its high-quality workmanship and excellent material quality. It combines a 100% percale cotton cover with a filling of microgel fibres for optimum sleeping comfort and support. The pillow is hard-wearing, breathable and has a cooling effect, which makes it particularly attractive for children. It is also washable at 60°C and remains lump-free after washing, keeping it soft and comfortable for a long time . The pillow complies with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is therefore ideal for allergy sufferers and sensitive children’s skin.
During our test, we were particularly impressed by the excellent quality and workmanship of the pillow. The breathable cotton cover ensures a pleasant sleeping environment and the micro-gel fibre filling provides excellent support for the child’s neck and back. One small disadvantage, however, is that the pillow has minimal differences in support in the sleeping position.

The packaging of the cushion makes a good impression. It is shipped in a sturdy bag with a zip fastener, which is reusable . This helps to minimise waste and avoids unnecessary packaging material. A protective plastic film protects the cushion during transport and maintains the hygiene of the product. The packaging contains a high-quality pillow measuring 40 x 60 cm with a cover made of 100% percale cotton and a filling made of microgel fibres. In our practical test , the microgel fibre pillow from Hatchka® delivered almost everything the manufacturer promises. In terms of comfort and lying sensation , the pillow was very comfortable in almost all sleeping positions. There were only slight deviations in the support force in one position. However, these are hardly noticeable in everyday life and do not significantly affect sleeping comfort.
The adaptability of the pillow was also excellent. In all tests, it adapted very well to the head and neck with only minimal changes after prolonged use. The immediate return of the pillow after relief is particularly positive . It returned immediately and completely to its original shape in all the tests carried out and over a longer period of time.
Another plus point is that the cushion does not have a noticeable odour either when it is first unpacked or after several days of use. This speaks in favour of the high material quality and the fact that the product is free from harmful substances .
The tear resistance of the seams also passed our test with flying colours. The cover had no visible weak points and the seams proved to be very strong without the seam ripper causing any damage.
The microgel fibre pillow from Hatchka® is an excellent choice for parents who are looking for a high-quality, comfortable and easy-care pillow for their children . It combines excellent materials and workmanship that contribute to a restful sleep . Despite minimal deviations in the sleeping position, the pillow impresses with its high adaptability, immediate recovery and durability.
