For our product test, the dust mite hoover from maxVitalis was delivered in a neutral shipping box. The box was visually perfect and could be opened easily without tools. Inside the box was the product carton, on which the product image, name and technical data were displayed. The product box was also in perfect condition.
Inside the product box was the dust mite hoover, wrapped in plastic film, as well as detailed instructions for use in several languages. Although the plastic film effectively protects the product from external influences, there are more environmentally friendly alternatives for packaging. The product itself was immaculate and made a very high-quality first impression.

The vacuum cleaner’s controls and regulators are easy to reach. On a critical note, the dust mite hoover is very loud. The UV-C light works in both programmes, shaking and sterilising. It is not visible to the human eye, but can be recognised by the green indicator light on the top of the appliance, which is very practical.
The suction power was tested on a mattress, sofa and carpet and worked well on all different surfaces. Cleaning is simple, with the HEPA filter having to be removed from the top flap and cleaned under running water . However, the filter must be allowed to dry completely before being used again, which takes some time due to its size and the need for several cleaning processes .
The appliance weighs a relatively light 1.5 kg, which is comfortable and not too heavy for a longer vacuuming process. With a 4.5 m long cable, the cable reach is sufficient so that the dust mite hoover does not have to be unplugged again and the suction process does not have to be interrupted.
