Manufacturer’s product description
The Naturehike inflatable sleeping mat is designed for outdoor enthusiasts who are looking for a lightweight, compact and comfortable sleeping mat. With a low total weight of only around 0.5 kg and a small pack size of approximately 30 × 10 × 10 cm, the mat is particularly suitable for outdoor holidays and tours. The mat has an integrated foot pump and is made of robust 40D nylon with a TPU coating.
In practical tests, the simple construction, good padding, especially in the head area, and the stable lying surface were impressive. It hardly slipped on smooth floors and movement noises remained quiet.
The only real drawbacks were the less sustainable shipping packaging and the fact that it had to be washed by hand.
Overall, the mat strikes a good balance between portability, sleeping comfort and outdoor suitability.

When unpacking the Naturehike sleeping mat, the product makes an overall well-designed and functional impression. The mat arrived well protected in a simple but practical plastic bag. It was completely undamaged, showed no scratches, tears or dirt and was rolled up very compactly. This is a real plus point for transport on the go or when hiking. In addition to the mat itself, the delivery also includes a fabric bag and a drawstring for transporting the mat.
Although the packaging used protects the product reliably, it could be improved from a sustainability perspective. An alternative made of paper or cardboard would have been more environmentally friendly.
Unfortunately, separate instructions for use are only available in English and Chinese. However, these are not necessary for our test, as the product is intuitive to use and easy to understand. Handling upon unpacking was straightforward.

When you first touch the Naturehike sleeping mat, you immediately notice the high-quality feel of the material. The nylon fabric gives a robust, durable impression without feeling stiff or uncomfortable. This is a decisive advantage, especially for an outdoor product.
The workmanship appears clean throughout: there are no open seams or loose threads, and the edges are even and without sharp transitions.
The olive green design is simple, functional and fits in well with typical outdoor or camping equipment. The mat fits seamlessly into existing equipment sets without standing out visually – an advantage for minimalists. In terms of stability, the product appears robust even when uninflated. The back is designed to provide grip on various surfaces.
Sustainability aspects are not directly highlighted by the manufacturer, but the reusability and durability of the product clearly show that resource conservation was a priority in its design. Overall, the first impression is very positive and conveys a well-thought-out, practical design.

As part of our practical test, the Naturehike sleeping mat had to prove itself under realistic conditions in outdoor use.
It was pleasingly easy to set up. The integrated foot pump worked reliably, albeit with moderate effort. Those who prefer more comfort can use an electric pump – in our test, this was significantly more efficient and convenient.
The mat also performed well in terms of comfort. The padding, especially in the head area, ensures a pleasant lying experience. While lighter people did not notice any contact with the ground, heavier testers occasionally experienced slight sagging, but this did not detract from the overall functionality.
The stability of the mat was also impressive. Only on very smooth tiled floors did the mat shift slightly. However, this does not restrict its use as a normal outdoor mat.
There were no negative findings in terms of noise either – minimal movement noises, which are normal for inflatable mats, were detected, although these cannot be described as a disturbing factor.
Cleaning after use was straightforward: thanks to the water-repellent surface, the mat could be quickly cleaned with a damp cloth. The fast drying time is particularly noteworthy.
Overall, we can confirm that the manufacturer’s specifications are essentially met. The Naturehike mat offers good performance, easy handling and sufficient comfort – especially for occasional trekking or camping trips.
