Norwegian knitted jumper STAG 2023

The STAG Norwegian knitted sweater from Nebulus made a very good overall impression in our test. The knitted sweater is two-tone and has a wintry pattern that runs all the way round. In addition to the comfortable inner material, it has a stand-up collar. It is available in three different color combinations for women and four different color combinations for men and in five different sizes. For our test, we received the knitted sweater in white and black and in sizes S for women and M for men. The knitted sweater is slightly too big for our tester, but he often needs size S. Nevertheless, the knitted sweater fits very comfortably and keeps you warm and cozy. The material quality and workmanship are just as impressive as the knitted sweater in the practical test. This shows that the knitted sweater sits comfortably for a long time and the fabric feels very pleasant on the skin.

ℹ️ Here we take a closer look at packaging. Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important factor. In addition, adequate protection of the product must of course also be ensured.

In our case, the STAG knitted sweaters from Nebulus were delivered together with other products in a sturdy shipping box . The shipping box was undamaged and could be easily opened with a knife or scissors. The shipping box was also optimally sized as it was filled to the top. This protects the environment: not only is the amount of material required for the shipping box minimized, but the small space required by the package also ensures better utilization of the transport vehicles. Inside the box were, among other things, the STAG knitted sweaters in their product packaging. The product packaging consists of a transparent plastic bag in which the STAG knitted pullovers were packed. The film is tear-resistant and cannot be stretched. A Nebulus logo is printed on the front of the packaging. There is also a sticker with a barcode and the product name and size of the sweat jacket. There are warnings on the back that the bag poses a choking hazard. The information is available in four languages, including German and English. The top of the bag has an opening that is sealed with an adhesive strip on the film. The adhesive strip is reusable. If the sweater is to be returned, the bag can be resealed with the existing adhesive strip. There is another layer of thin paper between the individual layers of the folded sweater so that the fabric of the sweater does not rub against each other during transportation. The STAG knitted sweater is very well protected from damage and soiling by the shipping box and the plastic bag.

ℹ️ Most people’s first impression after unpacking is immediately memorable. Are the contents of the package complete and does the manufacturer make it as easy as possible for me to use the product straight away?

As you would expect, the STAG knitted sweater does not require any additional accessories and is delivered without them. There is a cardboard disc the size of a beer mat on the label, which is printed on both sides in high gloss with the Nebulus logo, which can also be found on the product packaging.
There are no instructions for use, but they are not required. Washing instructions can be found on a label on the inside of the sweater, which uses the familiar symbols . There is also information on the material composition of the STAG knitted sweater, the size and the product name.

ℹ️ Before we start the practical test, we take a close look at the product processing. How high quality are the materials used? Is the look and feel satisfactory?

For our test, we received the STAG knitted sweater in black. In addition to this color combination, Nebulus also offers the sweater in red and white. For men, there is also a selection in the color navy. The black, white and blue color combination gives the knitted sweater a wintery look. There is a version for men and a version for women, the inside and outside are made from different fabrics. The outside is knitted from soft, thick threads. The patterns are not stitched on, but are created by a different color of wool thread. The inside of the knitted sweater is not lined.

The knitted sweater does not have a hood, but a high collar. There is an elasticated section around seven centimetres long at the bottom, the collar and the ends of the sleeves, which allows the knitted sweater to fit snugly in the corresponding areas. There is no eyelet on the collar, so a hanger is required to hang it up.

The majority of the knitted sweater is black. Only the shoulder area and the elasticated sections on the collar, sleeves and bottom are knitted in white. As a color contrast to the basic colors white and black, the sweater has a pattern of triangles, diamonds, snowflake symbols and Norwegian flags that extends around the upper body.

There is also a patch on the bottom left with Nebulus lettering on a Norwegian flag. This additional contrast to the basic colors of the knitted sweater and the surrounding pattern gives the sweater a special touch and adds another subtle accent to the overall appearance . The sweater’s single-layer fabric is thick, stretchy and tear-resistant. According to the label, the outer fabric is made entirely from polyacrylic. With one exception, the seams are even and clean and hardly noticeable from the outside. The Nebulus patch on the left underside is not sewn neatly. There are hardly any protruding threads and if there are, they are only very short. Apart from this, there are no visible manufacturing faults on the STAG knitted swe ater. The knitted sweater has the typical pleasant smell of brand-new clothing.

Overall, the STAG Norwegian knitted sweater with its black and white base colors, Nebulus patches and all-round pattern is a fashionable garment with an appealing winter design. The quality of the fabrics and seams used and the overall finish are also impressive.

The Norwegian knitted sweater STAG is sold in various sizes between S and XXL for women and between S and XXXL for men. In our test, we received the knitted sweater in S for women and size M for men. Although it was slightly too big for our tester, who was 170 cm tall, it still fitted comfortably. The sweater fit loosely on the body, but was a little baggy. The patch on the left side was noticeable, but not uncomfortable. After a few seconds you got used to it and no longer felt it. The fabric on the inside also felt very comfortable and soft against bare skin. As you would expect, the thick fabric of the knitted sweater kept you nice and warm even in the cold. The stretchy areas at the bottom, the collar and the sleeves ensured that the openings of the sweater were flush with the body and that no cold got inside. The high collar in particular effectively protected the neck from the cold. The thick fabric was the main factor for thermal insulation. The knitted sweater is therefore only suitable for very low temperatures or for people who get cold easily. In the last part of our practical test, we washed the sweater according to the manufacturer’s instructions. For the STAG kn itted sweater, this meant an easy-care wash cycle at 30 °C without drying and ironing at 110 °C, which corresponds to the usual recommendations for comparable garments. After washing, the laundry smelled of the detergent used, otherwise no differences were noticeable. The knitted sweater survived the washing procedure without any damage or fading.

Overall, the STAG knitted sweater impressed across the board in our practical test. It fitted comfortably, felt pleasant against the skin thanks to the inner lining, kept us nice and warm and survived washing without any problems.

On the Amazon platform, consumers have given the product an average rating of 4.6 (women) and 4.9 (men) stars. The collar is often criticized for being too tight . Many customers like the quality, comfort and how warm the sweater keeps them. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the quality and comfort are good. The sweater also keeps you very, very warm.
