About Us

Prüfengel offers authentic consumer tests in which real users share their experiences with products. Our tests are based on practical applications in everyday life and reflect the opinions of consumers. As we focus on consumer tests, we do not carry out any material, long-term or laboratory tests. The tests are carried out by 1-2 independent consumers over a period of 7-14 days. The exact test conditions can be viewed in the test plan of the respective test report – click here to go directly to the test plan.

Manufacturers provide the tested products free of charge. We charge a one-off test fee for carrying out the tests. In addition, manufacturers pay an annual licence fee for the use of the Prüfengel seal. We also receive a commission for linking to manufacturers’ websites. These remunerations have no influence on our test results or ratings.

The product Mole Repellent Balls from the ÖTTRI brand is a natural pest control product.
Moles are fascinating animals that are extremely active all year round. In spring, during the mating season, the males dig extensive tunnels in search of a female. In summer , the young animals migrate, and in autumn they eagerly gather food and prepare their burrows for winter. Due to their high energy requirements, moles are constantly on the move – leaving clear traces in the garden.
This product offers an effective and natural solution for keeping these protected animals away in an animal-friendly way: with 100% natural ingredients, each ball provides effective, long-lasting protection for up to five weeks – without any chemicals. It is very easy to use and is ideal for sustainably repelling unwanted visitors to your garden.

The product was packaged in a cardboard box that was well suited to the size of the product packaging.
Only the product was inside. We really like that the manufacturer didn’t use any packaging materials that are bad for the environment .

When you pick up the product for the first time, you immediately notice the secure closure.
The closure cannot be opened by small children and therefore offers good protection.
After opening the product packaging, the strong lemon scent of the mole repellent balls immediately hits the nose, reminiscent of cleaning products but still smelling relatively natural like lemon.

This product was subjected to extensive practical testing.
In terms of the range of effectiveness, it was found that the balls were effective within a radius of one to two meters. After just a few days, the mounds of earth began to disappear.
No risk to pets was identified: the pets were deterred by the intense citrus smell and showed no interest.
The product is also environmentally friendly. The balls are completely biodegradable.
Plant growth in the area around the mole repellent balls was not affected.
In practical testing, the balls impressed with their ease of use, natural ingredients, and effectiveness.
