The Pinava® countersink set made of HSS with three-cutter makes a very stable impression and impresses with its high-quality feel. The cutting edges are very sharp. It is also noticeable that the shank lengths are long enough to be able to countersink even in more distant materials. The diameters of the various countersinks are optimally matched to the most common screw heads and can be optimally measured due to the sharp cutting edges. It should be noted that when countersinking in metal, care must be taken to use a suitable cutting oil and the correct speed.

The Pinava® countersink set made of HSS makes a very neat impression at first glance. The countersinks are housed in a handy plastic box with a well-fitting slide lock. The plastic box is made of unusually thick plastic. When opening the box, it is noticeable that the countersinks are stored safely and securely. Nothing wobbles during removal and there is enough space between the individual countersinks so that they can be removed and stowed away again without any problems. There is no unnecessary packaging, as the plastic box is more than sufficient due to its strength and plastic quality.

The Pinava® countersink set impresses from the very first grip thanks to the weight of the individual countersinks. The design and structure of the countersinks are self-explanatory for the user. No manufacturing defects or moulding edges are visible. The surfaces and cutting edges are non-marking and can be easily inserted into a standard 13 mm drill chuck. Thanks to the 3-edged shank, they have a very stable hold when inserted into the drill chuck. No chatter marks are recognisable even at very high speeds.

The Pinava® countersink setis an absolute must for every craftsman. The expected cutting performance when drilling in wood was achieved effortlessly. Even setting very deep countersinks worked without any problems. The cutting edges showed no breaks, cracks or initial signs of wear and would look like new again after a quick clean. When used correctly, they have very good concentricity. Clamping in various drill chucks worked without any problems, meaning that the countersinks are also suitable for drill chucks with a suitable locking mechanism. The surface quality of the wood used shows no chipping or irregularities; even and uniform grooves were drilled. Even at a speed of 1,600 revolutions, countersinking in the wood proved to be problem-free and the countersinks held up effortlessly . All sizes have proven their efficiency and, thanks to the use of high quality, also demonstrate a correspondingly high-quality working pattern.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.7 stars. In some cases, there is criticism that the countersinks are not suitable for stainless steel. On the other hand, the robust and sharp cutting edges as well as the high stability are emphasised positively. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the sharp and stable cutting edges were well received by customers. The criticism from consumers when used on stainless steel was not justified.
Prices of up to €84.99 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very cheap products are available from as little as €14.99 . The ball countersink set from Pinava® is therefore currently in the lower price segment with a price of €32.89. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio is very good.
