The Plasticmetall brand lamellar stopper offers a robust and durable solution for sealing pipes and furniture. Made from UV-resistant polyethylene, it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Thanks to the robust securing slats, it guarantees a firm hold at all times without the need for additional tools. We were particularly impressed by its versatility in a wide range of areas such as furniture construction and pipe sealing. The lamellar stopper also scores points for its robustness and stability. The only disadvantage in our test was its susceptibility to scratches caused by the use of screwdrivers.

The lamellar plugs from Plasticmetall were supplied in compact and functional packaging. This was optimally adapted to the product size, which meant that unnecessary packaging material was largely avoided. However, plastic film was used, which could be considered an improvement from an ecological point of view. Nevertheless, the product protection was excellent: the stoppers reached us in perfect condition, without scratches or other damage.
As the use of the stoppers is self-explanatory, no instructions for use were required, which makes handling even easier. This reduction to the essentials conveys a well thought-out and customer-orientated impression. Despite the functional packaging, the absence of plastic materials would have further enhanced the overall impression.

The lamellar plugs from Plasticmetall have a simple, functional design that can be used in a variety of ways. The attractive appearance blends harmoniously into various areas of application, be it furniture, steel pipes or aluminium constructions. The precise workmanship is particularly noteworthy: there are no visible material defects or sharp edges, which speaks for high quality standards.
The polyethylene used makes the plugs extremely robust and resistant to external influences such as UV radiation and moisture. Even after intensive stress tests, the plugs remained dimensionally stable and showed no signs of material fatigue. The stability is further increased by the locking lamellae, which ensure a tight fit.
Although there is no specific information on sustainability, the high durability of the material indicates environmentally friendly use, as frequent replacement is avoided.

Plasticmetall’s lamellar plugs have undergone extensive practical testing for stability, cold and water resistance and chemical resistance. In the stability test under uniform lateral pressure, the plugs demonstrated outstanding resilience. There was no deformation or fatigue of the material, and the plugs retained their original shape and function completely, even under repeated loads.
The cold resistance test involved storage at -18°C for 24 hours. There were no signs of brittleness or cracking. After returning to room temperature, elasticity and structural integrity remained unchanged, confirming their suitability for extreme weather conditions. In the water resistance test, in which the plugs were immersed in water for 24 hours, neither water absorption nor structural changes were detected.
Chemical resistance was tested with common household cleaners. Even after two hours of exposure to these substances, neither colour changes nor material damage occurred. In the final scratch resistance test, the stoppers showed only minimal superficial scratches, with no recognisable deeper damage or material loss.
The results of all the tests confirm the high quality and reliability of the lamella plugs, which guarantee perfect function even under intensive use and demanding conditions.
