In our test, the portable gas cooker from GRAFT left a very good impression.
The portable gas cooker from GRAFT is the ideal companion for travelling, camping or as an emergency cooker in the event of a power cut. With this equipment, you can cook independently of electricity and without an additional gas cylinder. This saves additional weight and space. An MSF-1a gas cartridge must be inserted into the gas cooker for this purpose, but this is not included in the set. Alternatively, this gas cooker can also be connected to a gas cylinder. Pots and pans with a diameter of 5 cm to 26 cm are suitable for this gas cooker.
Advantages
✅ Low weight
✅ Compact overall dimensions
✅ Quick assembly
✅ Integrated ignition mechanism
✅ High performance
Disadvantages
❌ No gas cartridge included
❌ Winschutz must be assembled and disassembled each time, otherwise the transport case does not close

In our case, the portable gas cooker from GRAFT arrived with other products in a matching shipping box . The shipping box was undamaged and easy to open without any tools. The shipping box contained the portable gas cooker alongside the other products. The products were protected from slipping by paper filling material. The product protection was complete in this case and the portable gas cooker from GRAFT was therefore in perfect condition. The gas cooker was packed in a plastic bag with an attractive paper sleeve. The plastic bag might not have been necessary, but it keeps the set together and protects it from dirt and scratches.
The packaging of the set is partially recyclable. Unfortunately, the plastic bag is not recyclable, but the cardboard boxes and the filling material are.
Overall, the portable gas cooker from GRAFT makes a very good impression. The gas cooker was not damaged and the parcel was in good condition.

With its dimensions of 32 cm x 35 cm x 11 cm, the portable gas cooker from GRAFT is very compact and can therefore be optimally stowed away to save space. A space-saving product is particularly important when camping. The gas cooker has a very low total weight of 2.1 kg including the transport case. The gas cooker itself weighs 1.4 kg. Despite its low overall weight, the gas cooker is very sturdy and has a high-quality finish.
A gas cartridge can be used in this portable gas cooker from GRAFT, or alternatively the gas cooker can be connected to a gas cylinder. This allows the user to decide individually depending on availability.
The hob is suitable for pans and pots up to 26 cm in diameter. Without the coffee pot adapter, the cooking utensils must have a minimum diameter of 15 cm. With the above-mentioned adapter, a diameter of 5 cm is sufficient.

Does the manufacturer keep its advertising promises?
ℹ️ Our practical test is the most relevant and therefore the most important. Here, the product has to undergo a wide range of criteria and tests. We check the functions and product promises of the test article.
Criterion | Remark | Score achieved* |
---|---|---|
Commissioning | Quick assembly and easy insertion of the gas cartridge | 100 points |
Ignition | Works quickly and reliably, but sometimes requires several attempts | 90 points |

In our test, we use the gas cooker with a gas cartridge. Setting up and preparing the portable gas hob is very quick. All you need to do is assemble the four individual parts of the windscreen and place the hob on top. The gas cartridge must then be inserted. The GRAFT gas cooker may only be operated with an MSF-1a butane cartridge. Inserting the gas cartridge is explained in the operating instructions and is quick and easy.
Once the gas cartridge has been inserted, you can start cooking. The built-in piezo ignition is activated by turning the control knob all the way up. Even if it sometimes takes several attempts for the gas to ignite on a cold appliance, ignition is reliable and quick.
The flame of the gas hob is ring-shaped and very even. The colour of the flame is blue and no soot is visible. At the start of use, the gas hob makes an audible crackling noise. This stops after about a minute and only a quiet, even hissing can be heard. In our test, the gas hob only needed three and a half minutes to bring a small pot with half a litre of cold water to the boil. With a maximum heat output of 2.2 kW, even large quantities can be heated quickly. The heat output can also be reduced using the rotary control.
There are no traces of soot on the underside of the pan after use. The metal of the gas hob is still hot, but cools down quickly. The gas cooker can now be cleaned as required and then taken apart again and packed in the case. This is made of plastic and is perfectly tailored to the gas cooker. However, the material is very thin, which makes the case flexible.
Price/performance ratio
and ratings from consumers
ℹ️ Finally, we look at how the product compares to the competition. Can it keep up with the competition in terms of price and quality? Would we generally recommend buying it? We also analyse consumer reviews and check whether the critical and positive reviews are actually justified.
Criterion | Remark | Points achieved* |
---|---|---|
Price / performance ratio | Very good performance in the mid-price range | 80 points |
Rating cut | Not rated, as there are still too few customer reviews | |
Total | 80 points |
*The maximum score is 100 points
