Test result preview
With the Essentials 11 suitcase, the manufacturer Redolz provides a medium-sized travelling companion suitable for everyday use. In our practical test, the product impresses above all with its high quality of workmanship. Both the choice of materials and the functional and practical zips and handles underline the impression of an overall high-quality product. This ensures a high level of reliability and safe transport. The product also has an appealing and elegant look. Practical features such as an integrated TSA combination lock and four low-noise, 360° rotating wheels emphasise the suitability of the product for everyday use. Only in terms of sustainability would more information from the manufacturer be desirable, but this only slightly detracts from the very good performance. The product therefore receives a very good rating in our practical test and offers decisive added value, especially for medium-length journeys.
Advantages

The Essentials 11 case from the manufacturer Redolz arrives in a plain, brown cardboard box. Inside, the case (45 cm x 26 cm x 66 cm) is wrapped in a transport film. Both the film and the box look solid and appropriate for the intended use. As the product is a hard-shell case, no special protective measures are required, meaning that safe transport is fully guaranteed.
In terms of sustainability, the plastic film could possibly be replaced with a more sustainable raw material. On a positive note, the packaging is very compact and minimalist overall. The package contents are complete and as stated by the manufacturer. The manufacturer has dispensed with instructions for use as the product is self-explanatory to use. Only a small information card about the manufacturer and an explanation of the integrated combination lock can be found inside.

After unpacking, we take a closer look at the Essentials 11 suitcase. The first thing that catches our eye is the attractive and modern design of the case. The choice of shape and colour looks contemporary and elegant. Thanks to the good transport protection, no flaws or scratches are visible.
The workmanship also impressed us at first glance. All handles, zips and wheels as well as the outer and inner materials appear flawless and solidly made. The case’s excellent stability is therefore fully guaranteed, so that the case can reliably protect the goods inside even under load.
In our opinion, there is only room for improvement in terms of sustainability. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide any further information about the production or transport of the case, so that only the use of high-quality materials speaks in favour of a long service life and thus a certain sustainability.

The Essentials 11 suitcase from Redolz demonstrates an excellent combination of stability, comfort and safetyin the practical test. The carrying handles on various sides are well made and offer comfortable stability when lifting and carrying, while the telescopic handle is particularly robust and stable. Extending and retracting the bag works smoothly, even with frequent use – a clear advantage if you are often travelling and quick handling is important.
The rolling behaviour of the case is extremely comfortable thanks to its four low-noise, 360° rotating wheels. Whether on smooth airport floors or uneven paving stones, the suitcase can be moved effortlessly in any direction. Manoeuvring it requires hardly any effort, making it an ideal travel companion for frequent travellers. In contrast to older models, which often only roll in one direction, you will notice a significant increase in comfort here.
The locking mechanism consists of reliable, smooth-running zips that close securely even when fully loaded. This is complemented by an integrated TSA combination lock, which provides additional security for air travel and allows the suitcase to be opened by security personnel without damaging it. The inner compartment, which is equipped with several zips, is particularly practical. It offers plenty of space and allows smaller items to be organised, leaving more room for larger items in the main compartment.
The sturdy polypropylene hard shell not only ensures safety, but also keeps the case pleasantly light. Despite its robust construction, the case is easy to lift and transport, which is a particular advantage when travelling with strict weight restrictions. Overall, this suitcase offers a well thought-out combination of stability, safety and user-friendliness and its medium size (45 cm x 26 cm x 66 cm) is perfect for medium-length journeys.
